Summer is technically over and school is back in session and that means high school football, homecoming games and of course mass shootings.
There was a big’un in Vienna, Georgia over the weekend and just like that we have a new leader on the mass shooting board. Early reports are saying 35 injured although some of those are the hilarious injuries resulting in people being run over by cars in the panic to flee. Two are dead at this time. This far outpaces the prior leader, the early May shooting in Edmonds, OK with one dead and 22 injured. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations has identified the deceased….
GBI Investigates Shooting Deaths in Dooly County, GA
The victims killed in this shooting have been identified as Ja’Quavion Aderious Jackson, age 21, of Cordele, GA, and Macaleb Malik Jackson, age 23, of Hawkinsville, GA.
I didn’t find any pictures of those two but do I really need to? It sounds like it might have been a running gun battle as people were found shot in multiple locations….
Preliminary information indicates that at about 1:25 a.m., on October 4, 2026, DCSO deputies were on patrol at a neighborhood block party when shots were fired from the 900 block of Pine Street in Vienna, GA. Deputies immediately responded to the area and discovered multiple people had been shot. Deputies also found two people in the 600 block of Pine Street that were pronounced deceased on scene. Victims were taken to several regional hospitals for treatment.
Vienna, Georgia is a town of just under 3,000 and no surprise…
Reports indicate the crowd was around 1,000 people which would have been one in three residents of the town so clearly there were plenty of young hooligans from outside of the area on hand to spice things up. Both of the deceased were from other towns in Georgia. It was reported elsewhere that this was a “homecoming block party”, presumably for Dooly County High School.

Some 2nd Amendment advocates will try to excuse this away as not a real mass shooting because it is “gang related” or something silly but that is counter-productive. We don’t gain any ground by arguing over semantics of what is or is not a mass shootings. The media has gone all in on mass shootings being four or more people shot so we need to get right back in their faces and point out that virtually every mass shooting, using their definition of the term, is committed by blacks.
I have a pretty good feeling about this one making it to the end of 2026 as the mass shooting with the highest total body count, although sadly only 2 of the 35 injured are deceased.
