While I understand that the chief isn’t generally speaking chasing down the bad guys in dark alleys, her appointment comes after the utterly useless Democrat mayor of Indianapolis, Joseph “Joe” Hadden Hogsett declared he wanted a woman to be the next police chief. Not the best or most qualified candidate. He wanted a skirt, or in this case a poorly fitting polyester pantsuit.
Following IndyStar’s article about who could be the next police chief, which didn’t include a mention of Terry, talk of the mayor wanting a woman in the role surfaced within the department.
Ol’ Joe has been married and then divorced 3 times but I am sure a lady-killer like Hizzoner is already on the prowl for the next future former Mrs. Hogsett.

Although Indiana is as a whole a deep red state, Indianapolis remains a festering blue sphincter right in the center of the Hoosier state. I have observed nurses in our hospitals, over many years, rising to administrative positions.
