It Fell Over. Seriously.

In July of 1969, we are told that a lunar lander carrying two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, set down on the surface of the moon and the two men aboard disembarked and walked on the surface of Earth’s solitary moon. When Armstrong set food on the lunar surface he proclaimed: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. The crew was in pretty constant contact with mission control in Houston, and at one point President Nixon phoned the crew. This was the first of 6 manned lunar landings over the space of less than four years, with the final landing of the Apollo 17 crew in 1972, returning to Earth one day before my first birthday. It wasn’t the first landing on the moon, that honor went to the Soviet Union in 1966 with the Luna 9 lander, but America remains the only nation to land men on the moon.

Today, 55 years after that first manned moon landing was achieved with technology that seems as primitive today as the telegraph and Model T, we are still waiting to send men back to the nearest significant object in space. Based on recent events, it doesn’t seem likely to happen any time soon.

A private U.S. lunar lander tipped over at touchdown and ended up on its side near the moon’s south pole, hampering communications, company officials said Friday.

Intuitive Machines initially believed its six-footed lander, Odysseus, was upright after Thursday’s touchdown. But CEO Steve Altemus said Friday the craft “caught a foot in the surface,” falling onto its side and, quite possibly, leaning against a rock. He said it was coming in too fast and may have snapped a leg.

“So far, we have quite a bit of operational capability even though we’re tipped over,” he told reporters…..

….Odysseus — the first U.S. lander in more than 50 years — is thought to be within a few miles (kilometers) of its intended landing site near the Malapert A crater, less than 200 miles (300 kilometers) from the south pole. NASA, the main customer, wanted to get as close as possible to the pole to scout out the area before astronauts show up later this decade….

….With Thursday’s touchdown, Intuitive Machines became the first private business to pull off a moon landing, a feat previously achieved by only five countries. Japan was the latest country to score a landing, but its lander also ended up on its side last month.

What the hell happened?

Once Odysseus was in lunar orbit and hours away from its landing attempt, the team discovered its laser range finders, which are key to its precision navigation, were not working — due entirely to human error. According to Altemus, someone forgot to flip a safety switch that would allow them to turn on, so they couldn’t. That realization was “like a punch in the stomach,” Altemus said, and they thought they could lose the mission.

The team was thankfully able to make a last-second adjustment cooked up on the fly by Intuitive Machines CTO and co-founder Tim Crain, who suggested they use one of the on-board NASA payloads instead to guide the descent, the Navigation Doppler LIDAR (NDL). In the end, Odysseus made it there alright. Its mission is expected to last a little over a week, until lunar night falls.

They forgot to flip a damn switch? Who is running this outfit, Johnny Henshaw-Jacobs?

There have been other attempts at unmanned landing, many crashing, at least one other one tipping over. See: Tinfoil Hat Time.

I figure there are only two explanations for this situation where people that landed men on the moon in the 1960s are apparently incapable of putting a lander on the moon in 2024.

One explanation has a lot of backers: we can’t get back to the moon because we never went to the moon in the first place. I don’t unreservedly subscribe to that school of thought, although I will say that what I have seen going on in America since I became an adult has convinced me it is at least possible that the whole thing was staged. After the JFK assassination, 9/11, Covid-19, George Floyd, the 2020 election, how can you not give at least some credence to anything that contradicts the approved narrative.

The other explanation is more plausible: we have gotten so much dumber since the Apollo landings that we are no longer capable of landing men back on the moon, despite the enormous advances in technology we have seen since 1969. Other nations like Japan, China and India have landed on the moon but they are building on the work done by Americans and Russians half a century ago and even still are barely able to replicate unmanned landings.

Look at the mission control in Houston for the Apollo 11 landing:

A room full of nerdy White guys, almost all wearing white dress shirts and skinny black ties. There is one woman in the room, JoAnn Hardin Morgan, who often quips about working in a building that didn’t even have a ladies restroom. There is zero diversity in the room. Despite the bullshit retconning of the space program in the movie Hidden Figures, man landed on the moon without the assistance of three sassy black women. I wrote about that here, We Wuz Assternotz And Sheeit!.

In 2022 NASA was still talking about a new manned mission to the moon in 2025, the Artemis missions named of course for the Greek goddess of the hunt. See, it’s a girl goddess, not some stodgy old boy Greek god. Subtle, no? Of course the Artemis plan released by NASA in September of 2020 was talking about landing “the first woman and the next man” on the moon in 2024. *Checks calendar, sees we are in 2024 and an unmanned lander just tipped over. Riiiight*. By the following year in 2021, NASA had upped the stakes by declaring that the Artemis landing would include the first person of color to land on the moon:

NASA’s Artemis program will land the first person of color on the moon.

The Artemis program will land the first person of color on the moon, according to NASA. The new goal for the program, which seeks to land the first woman and the next man on at the lunar south pole by 2024, comes from the Biden-Harris administration…..

….The Artemis astronauts include Joseph Acaba, Kayla Barron, Raja Chari, Matthew Dominick, Victor Glover Jr., Warren “Woody” Hoburg, Jonny Kim, Christina Koch, Kjell Lindgren, Nicole Mann, Anne McClain, Jessica Meir, Jasmin Moghbeli, Kate Rubins, Frank Rubio, Scott Tingle, Jessica Watkins and Stephanie Wilson.

While it’s unknown if a person of color will be among the two first astronauts to return to the moon since the Apollo program in 1972, “these are historic moments in advancing equity for all of humankind,” said Bhavya Lal, acting NASA chief of staff.

Women and people of color represent a significant contributing portion of all facets of NASA’s workforce, and the last two astronaut classes selected have included the highest percentage of women in history,” Lal said. “Fifty percent of the 2013 National class was female and 45% of the 2017 class. And today, African American, Asian Pacific Islander, Hispanic and multiracial astronauts are about a quarter of NASA’s active astronaut corps.

Houston we have a problem. If you wonder why we can’t seem to get back to the moon, well you might find a clue in the information in bold. In 2021 we were told…..

After the uncrewed Artemis I flight in November, Artemis II will be a crewed flyby of the moon in August 2023. Artemis III will return astronauts to the moon.

That flyby didn’t happen in 2023. Now, as of today NASA is saying no sooner than September of 2025.

The crew consists of two White guys, mission commander Reid Wiseman and Jeremy Hansen, a black guy Victor Glover and a woman, Christina Koch. The three men are all fighter pilots of course and Koch has a pretty impressive background as well. What I found interesting is that the link to the Artemis mission potential crews has been scrubbed, although there is an archived copy that features lots of women (9 of the 18 listed) and non-Whites (8 of the 18, not counting Jessica Meir, a Jewish woman, as White). Only 3 of the 18 are White men but the Artemis II crew is 50% White men and neither of them are on the original list. I guess when push came to shove, NASA quietly decided to go with competence over diversity.

As for Artemis III, the manned landing? That has been pushed back to at least 2026, and in reality will be much later than that. You can be sure it will include at least one chick and one non-White, ideally from NASA’s standpoint will be if they can get a non-White chick and kill two birds with one stone.

Humans have always been drawn to explore, discover, and learn as much as we can about the world—and worlds—around us. This isn’t always easy, but it’s in our nature. For the benefit of all humanity, NASA and its partners will land the first woman and first person of color on the surface of the Moon with Artemis.

Following two Artemis test missions, Artemis III, currently planned for 2026, will mark humanity’s first return to the lunar surface in more than 50 years. NASA will make history by sending the first humans to explore the region near the lunar South Pole.

https://archive.vn/WQQsS

Stunning. Brave. Everyone will be just giddy if a strong black woman who don’t need no man gets to walk on the moon, while conveniently ignoring the fact that without White men it would never happen. The Artemis III mission will use a NASA rocket but then will dock up with a SpaceX lander, the Starship human landing system. Of the crew of four, two will stay in orbit and two will land on and walk on the moon so you know one of those two will be a black chick and hopefully the other will be a White guy so they can land and return safely.

When or if this will actually happen is anyone’s guess.

Back to my point. As troubling as faked moon landings would be, it is more horrifying to contemplate that we have gotten so much dumber as a species in 2024 that we are incapable of replicating the achievements of men in the 1960s.

We did not get a cool dystopian society like Escape From New York or Blade Runner. There were no fast food wars. Not did we get a future as envisioned in Star Trek that transcended war, hate and poverty. Instead I find myself living in a future that is mostly just stupid. A dumb future full of dumb people getting dumber by the day. To me that is so much worse than faked moon landings. At least faking the moon landings took some effort and it would mean that we have never been capable of landing on the moon. The second scenario says that we were capable of it once but are no longer, that we have lost something precious and irreplaceable.

We are witnessing in real time the effects of The Dumbing Down Of America. We see it in small stuff every day and we see it in big stuff like the degradation of NASA. The once limitless future of humankind has been sold for a mess of pottage under the umbrella of diversity, tolerance and equity. What is worse, we may never get it back.

In 1969 Neil Armstrong took one giant leap for mankind and ever since that moment mankind has been making a nearly unbroken series of small steps backward.

Next moon mission will be a Pajeet and Shaniqua flying off in a rocket powered by pumping up a tank filled with Brawndo before lift-off.

Maybe I won’t trap the beaver that keeps rebuilding his dam, they’re good eatin’ and supplies look iffy come summer.

I have a copy of the V-Dare Jack Crenshaw article, saved years ago as an example of the extreme measures taken by our FedGov & NASA to convince us that blacks are equal or better at STEM studies and their real-world application as the Whites who invented the material.

Glad you referenced same in this article.

I gag whenever I see quotes like this: “While it’s unknown if a person of color will be among the two first astronauts to return to the moon since the Apollo program in 1972, “these are historic moments in advancing equity for all of humankind,” said Bhavya Lal, acting NASA chief of staff.”

Advancing “equity” [GAG]. When I see the words “equity” or “diversity” or “inclusivity” I recognize that they are buzzwords for racism against whites.

Intelligent people know–deep down–that when a corporation, a government, or a government corporation (NASA, for example) use those woke words, it is the beginning of the end for them.

Have patience. Without White people, everything in the modern World invented, curated and maintained BY White people will run to shit sooner rather than later.

How many blacks (and other “POCs”) even understand the concept, “Entropy Reigns”?

If you want a good laugh, check out “The Old Negro Space Program,” a Ken Burns style mockumentary. I especially like the White professor of African-American studies.

I don’t know if we are dumber or if all our smart men have dropped out of pursuing something great because we live in a shithole country that hates them…You can’t reach the top of your potential when you are held back by spiteful mutants at every turn…

      +10
Never mind the spacecraft was shiny as a new car in a showroom, after landing in deep silt, and no crater underneath from the landing rockets, etc, etc, etc……So many things that are self evident and people just ignore reality, because they have to believe an illusion.

    • lemmiwinks

Yes, people forget that the TV feed was relayed from Australia because the moon wasn’t visible to the USA at that time. Were there TV satellites orbiting at the time to bounce the signal from NASA studios off? Maybe, I haven’t looked into it because I don’t care.

They left (among other things) a reflector there which physicists still bounce lasers off to measure crap. I had a guy telling me that they would have been able to place it there using an autonomous vehicle. With 1960’s/1970’s tech!

Also, astronauts were accomplished pilots for a reason. Hubris leads engineers to think that automation is inherently better than skilled human control. Often it is, but no one who landed on the moon put the lander on it’s ear – they had a lot of skin in the game.

Shaniqua will “slow walk” her return to the lander to prove a point. And be left behind when it has to take off to make its rendezvous. I know I’m being optimistic, but still…

I’m still unsure whether they want to put “astronauts” on The Moon (TM), the sound stage, or if they think they can actually defeat all the problems with putting people on the moon-the object that orbits Earth with regularity-that NASA was unable to solve and so resorted to The Moon (TM) to shoot some hokum footage with which to deceive all of America and the world. I guess if they do make it to the moon, The Netherlands can trade in the petrified wood/Moon Rock (TM) that NASA or some moron-astronaut fraudulently gave them back in the day for a piece of real moon rock.

BLUF: I think the moon landings are at best dubious.

Im still in my recon stages of how i find signs of the “break-away society” referenced by so many, and then get on whatever “craft” the khazarian mafia have to get the out of this place. Maybe they are really referring to jewish pushed pre-trib rapture doctrine. Instead we get, everything is fake and gay, every government is corrupt to the core, most followers of Christ are cucktards, endless flat/round earth fights, and daily vids of chimps shooting each other, or “chimping aint easy” highlight reels cuz theyz cant getz their gibs or “where be my chickenz samiches, Iz eatz heerz everydayz”….I just want to know when they codify ebonics into a written language with an actual dictionary and start teaching it to white privilege kids in school. Maybe AI will do that.

The website name says a lot. Dont trust me do your own research.

No self-respecting White man should want to be anywhere near that ‘send a nig, shitskin, fag, freak to the moon’ project, neither as a crew member or in ground control. Something’s undoubtedly going to happen and White boy’s gonna be the goat no matter what. “Dat rocket ship done crashed beecoz of duh struktal raycissum of duh whyte man!”
On the other hand; if there’s a good time to fake it this will be it. Jews and their lackeys control all the illusions now. “Wit all dat dy-versity we done made it faster than dem whyte mothafukas did back when dey done kep us down”
Oy veh. Roll em – action!

Neil Armstrong was a deity growing up in northwest Ohio. One of the Boy Scout camps I went to was named after him. There’s a cool museum in his hometown just off I-75 in Wapakoneta, Ohio that’s worth a stop if passing though.

It used to piss me off when people would question the lunar landing. But then again it also pissed me off of someone said that 9/11 was an “inside job”.

Maybe both are just cases of Hidden Wiggers.

    • Berglander

Why shouldn’t we question the moon landings or 9/11? The truth fears no investigation…and the media has shown itself to be entirely untrustworthy. Why is it assumed that they’re lying today, but they were honest yesterday?

  10. Dr. Hollowpoint

An all-black female crew is the only way to go. The potential of seeing twerking on the moon, or maybe a sheboon brawl, or profanity-laced complaints about the food, along with the anticipation of catastrophic explosion on re-entry, would be beyond hilarity. Considering what blacks do when they score a touchdown, what would African blood compel finding itself on the moon?

I’ve worked for decades now, deep in the bowels of high tech defense contracting, and it frankly scares me to note the rapid deterioration in quality of engineers since my earliest days in the field. Where have all the crazy-smart White boys gone? They are NOT signing on with Warlabs, Inc. anymore, if they even still exist. The talent drain has been so extreme that it has become standard policy to “design by committee”, for there are no singular geniuses left who can do it all.

Take marginally competent females and pump them full of themselves by lauding their every small accomplishment, hiding their mistakes and allowing them to “lead” projects (i.e. become the public face of our engineering staff) and you create egomaniacal tyrants who cannot be criticized. We’ve hired not one single cis-normal White male engineer in my unit since before covid, despite dozens of open reqs that go unfilled year after year. But we are top-heavy with female and non-White “project leaders” who get shuffled around every few months in a desperate and futile attempt to hide their general incompetence and ineffectiveness. It really is as bad as it sounds, but this is what the corporation must do to “make the numbers” to qualify for government contracts.

Will we ever send men to the moon? Not if the mission requires the sort of diversity that leads to naval ships colliding with one another under the leadership of all-female crews who have broken into cliques that seek to sabotage one another. And not if the lead design engineer shows up at work packing a Hi-Point in case some other diversity hire looks at him wrong.

Okay, now this is just too funny not to share. Beloved wife flew across the country this morning on United Airlines and texted to say that they just touched down at Dulles.

I texted her back with, “Flight was ok? No broken doors or wings coming apart?”

She replied, “Nope. And no female piglets, either.”

Her cellphone autocorrected “female pilots” to “female piglets”. I am still laughing.

  12. Big Ruckus D

Artemis? Naw dawg, the (fake and ghey) mission name will be Capricornpop 225.

And to piggyback (heh) on the thematic elements of Moe Gibbs post above,

“Nigs in Spaaaaaaaace” (with partial credit to the Muppet Show of my childhood).

There are multiple factors at play preventing achieving what was done 50 years ago. The country is demonstrably getting dumber, both in terms of absolute IQ and educational accomplishment. We already know that “woke” destroys the functionality of everything it touches, but many forget that our institutions of higher education is where “woke” originally landed, in the form of cultural Marxism courtesy of the Frankfurt School, which relocated due to *ahem* unfavorable conditions in Germany directly to college campuses in the US where it proceeded to metastasize. Starting in the 1960’s we started both paying stupid worthless eaters to have more children and began importing more of them, as well as institutionalized the notion of hiring amd educational admissions based on factors other than merit.
Shake, stir, and bake for 50 years to get our current lack of ability. Aerospace engineering in the context of space travel is the most difficult and unforgiving environment possible and is absolutely the place you would expect loss of capability to show up. (“Forgot to flip a switch.”) Now we see with Boeing it is spreading to atmospheric flight.
I don’t have the space here to debunk the conspiracy theorists, only to point out they are gleefully participating in a civnat normiecon copium psyop and assisting the *wrongside* in their insistence that the dirt is magic.

Well I always heard the moon was made of cheese. Now my hopes and dreams are crushed … it looks like the moon is made of watermelon. Oh please don’t say it’s made of fried chicken … my heart can’t take it.

  15. anonymous

Read Wagging the Moon Doggie by David McGowan at the Center for an Informed America, and it will only increase your doubts about the moon landings.

I am absolutely convinced they never happened. We did not have the tech then and we do not have the tech now.

We can’t get past the Van Allen belt. We can’t deal with micro meteors. We can’t handle the temperature extremes. And so on.
