In March of this year, a disturbed and likely autistic woman named Audrey Hale, apparently also calling herself Aiden Hale at times as she occasionally thought she was a boy, shot up a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite everyone knowing she left behind a manifesto and apparently many other writings, journals and videos, we are not permitted to speculate on her motives or even see her materials. When a whopping three pages of her manifesto were leaked, the media was apoplectic and it was promised that heads would roll. Some 8 months later, we are supposed to assume that she had no discernible motives.
In 2017, a man named Stephen Paddock shot up a country music concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. He killed over 60 people and wounded more than 400. This heinous crime, the worst mass killing by an individual in American history, has never been solved. We know who (allegedly) did it but no one has any idea why he hauled dozens of guns to a hotel room and went on a shooting rampage. One would think the Federal authorities would leave no stone unturned but it appears an awful lot of stones were not only not turned over but were instead buried under a foot of concrete.
Then earlier this week, Monday to be exact, a 20 year old man named Benjamin Charles Jones (three name shooter alert BCE!) shot and wounded 4 people at a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio (outside of Dayton) before killing himself. By Thanksgiving Thursday, just a few days after the shooting, we knew what motivated this guy: LITERAL NAZISM!
