I was watching this video from Mike Shelby, sort of in the background, when I had one of those “needle scratching across a record” moments that made me stop and listen to it again. It is around the 6:15 mark….
The video is pretty good, kind of an ad for his gig but that is fine, but what he said at that marker was something you should consider. For the city of Atlanta metro area, in the event of a disaster they are going to:
“…turn all inbound interstates outbound. And they’re gonna try to push people out of Atlanta, so evacuees and refugees”
There are over six million people in the Atlanta metro area. That is just a whole bunch of people and making matters worse, over 1.7 million of those are black and probably close to a million are mestizos.
In my post “Bug Out Now“, one of my earliest posts, I put up this picture from The Walking Dead:
It is more accurate that both lanes would be blocked. If they call for people to evacuate Atlanta, or any metro area, people are going to start ignoring the traffic laws in a big hurry and that will snarl things up quickly. People that are scared and are trying to protect wives/kids will turn ugly in a hurry. I know I would.
Depending on how large the nearest city to you is, being an hour out isn’t going to be enough. Refugees fleeing cities are going to swamp the suburbs and in turn the closer suburbs will also have their own wave of refugees as the diversity spills over.
Take a look at a map and do some real thinking. If the shit hits the fan and the cities empty out, are they going to make it to you? Better figure that out now before they are on your doorstep looking for food or worse.
Large cities and/or multi-city complexes over a quarter million in population are going to be nightmares if instant evacuation is required. Houston tried with one hurricane evacuation some years back and a lot of people evacuating north to Dallas really paid for taking the direct route.
An hour out beyond where a series of bridges can be dropped would be considerably safer than direct routes.
I’m in the Houston area and was here for that evacuation. Most people fled North or West. If you look at how hurricanes track, due to rotation when they hit the Texas coast they are coming in from the East, heading West, then turn to the North. We headed South and had only minor traffic. Hmmm. Lots of stupid people.
That said, I’m stuck here in the suburbs due to my job. Way too close to Houston for comfort, but that’s where the money is right now. However I’m far enough out that I know all the backroads, farm-to-market routes, etc. that really lead out into the sticks. I may not have anywhere to go, but I damn sure know how to get there, and it don’t involve highways, interstates, etc.
Reminds me, back in the days of the Cold War, we had a joke.
President gets on the news, says we have a report of an incoming Russian nuke heading for Houston, there’s only an hour to evacuate. Here’s the plan – all whites take hwy 59 north, all mexicans take hwy 59 south, all blacks take loop 610.
Having multiple escape routes that are not obvious (interstates) will be critical.
For years now I have been hearing and reading the booming poasts and boasts of the legions of suburban sofa warriors who swear that none shall pass when old spicy comes out and sees his long dark shadow. So being an hour out of a smallish city full of nogs and soy, I should be fine. Thanks in advance all you “good schools” bros.
But then again. One of the things that I dislike about the AO we ended up settling in is that it is “rural” but in that eastern sorta way that means infrastructure is crap but there are still houses (being generous here) everywhere and very few coordinates that put you more than an hour outside a city.
What people tend to overlook, in addition to the dark mass of urban locusts, is that unless you are part of the blood clan that has occupied your plot or surrounds, you are an outsider and always will be and thus without the protection of said clan and subject to the emergency powers of “the way things work round here”.
Which is another way of saying that when times get dire, all these busted-ass people on meth or opiates or generally just wasting away on dollargen fructose and vape will be coming for your shit too and should you man-up and put a couple barrels of 00 buck through a couple of hills have eyes tax collectors you best be getting nomadic real soon too because their kin will be coming to burn your house down.
And if they are of the right clan, the sheriff will be there to make sure that justice is served. These parts have been corrupt as long as time and your whiteness is second or third order when it comes to eating or staying high.
There are a number of considerations to the “get out of the cities” that get glossed over. If indeed an hour out of town isn’t enough, then ‘m 50/50 whether or not you are better off with a stronghold in the burbs with men you trust as opposed to dispersed among the rural ruins on your own.
Of course, it’s about your brothers. But it remains to be seen whether White men will once again tribe up. My sense is that isn’t coming before some powerful lizard in DC trips over the cord and the lights go out on SEC football. So its all just speculation. SA farmers are still getting gutted.
thanks!! you nailed it
Good assessment – which is why I chose not to live any longer in the south or anywhere along the eastern or western seaboard. In actual fact, there are no ideal places for transplants whose white racialist mindset staunchly supercedes blind patriotism and religious groveling – two scourges that have retarded most Whites to the point of making them delusional, irascibly ignorant, cliquish and therefore, as you elude to, hostile to fellow Whites that ain’t in their club. The best we can expect, for now, is to be relatively free from the soul-destroying effects of urban/suburban shitholes. Improvements thereon can be made accordingly. Areas where like-minded people can congregate are in the beginning stages but should move forward steadily as the national situation devolves.
Thats right Brother. Our guys get a lot of the same mythology that the yootube homesteader and other commie utopia traders peddle.
The net of it is we are on our own. The decay is everywhere. Its just less dense where the people are less dense. But yes, the best is being relatively free from the death cult and its urban gynocracy of petty tyrants and their pet pox.
Even if half my neighbors here are still covidians or Republicuck retards, at least they lack the consolidation of State power to express their swollen amygdala and suicidal white cuckery upon us.
And that’s not nothing.
Still, I do not recommend doing what we did. Falling for the urgency of the doom that strikes so many of the White aware. Falling for the ‘build community’ siren song. Walking away from money, jobs, our land, and taking our chances in the wind.
Not that it’s not the right thing to pursue, but the rewards are not happening by any meaningful metric that I have found beyond the physical separation and perhaps becoming closer with God. Grace and small joys being the only other thing that grows around here besides hay and mudsharks.
Leaving your city job/income, liquidating assets, moving across the country to some forgotten patch of a White county should not be taken lightly.
Put your principles ahead of your paycheck at your own peril. Now if you have capital, remote work, and/or “passive” income as the little hats say, then sure play the arbitrage to your favor. Otherwise, there is a reason that “low cost of living” was a thing in these parts up until the Great Bubble of All Bubbles.
Perhaps when things really fall apart it will pay dividends to have beat the crowds to austerity and isolation. But then again, if things get bad enough it won’t really matter where you are and if we are being honest there is something to be said for enjoying what time we have left in whatever kind of normal we decide works best. If I could do it over I would have stayed in my home state, blue as it is, and just dug in and enjoyed my soil until I had to run it red. I mean if the hordes are coming, might as well be where my people are already buried.
Sounds as though you’ve had a hard and less than stellar ‘rural relocation.’ Although we’ve only been at our current address for 6 months, we have no regrets and only wish we had the finances to have moved sooner. We are blessed that my husband is working remotely, with a requisite visit back to urban DFW every 3-4 months or so. We were not and are not wealthy, but the ridiculous inflation in housing prices coincided with a temporary but significant increase in my husband’s income – so while we have no real ‘nest egg,’ we no longer have a mortgage or significant debts.
New house/cabin is very small, but cozy enough for the two of us (who both enjoy our privacy and value each other’s company). Land is of significant acreage and heavily wooded and at the end of a dead – end dirt road. One ‘close’ neighbor who is capable in ways we are not, as well as trustworthy and becoming a real friend. We know there are poverty and drugs in the area, and we don’t kid ourselves that we will ever be ‘locals,’ but we’ve been welcomed and befriended in every possible way.
Our children are grown and quasi-independent (we still help both financially and will do so as long as we are able). When we first became kinda sorta ‘preppers’ we really didn’t foresee our lives going in this direction, but we feel so blessed to be where we are. We no longer worry about knowing when it’s time to leave, or how to transport supplies, or even the randomness of urban/suburban crime. We aren’t foolish enough to think anywhere is truly secure given the current times, but we feel comfortable where we are and far more at peace with the lack of significant ‘diversity.’
Yes, the decay is everywhere, but it’s so much simpler for us to avoid it now. We do feel we’ve ‘beaten the crowd’ and in no way miss what we left behind. I am truly sorry that your experience has been so different. But leaving it all behind can work – just as a counterpoint to your regrettable experience.
Yes remote work at urban wage and equity to parlay into actual land that is well positioned is the minimum it takes.
We had neither. Took a total flyer. Had 90 days to find our home in the price range with the other 90%of buyers.
That’s why I preface it all with the reality of the economics and thinking hard about the tradeoffs. The jobs here are stuck at mid ‘90s wages but we have a current year mortgage. Remote work is great but not if you are over 50 and white. If you don’t already have it, you prolly won’t find it.
Our story is not unique. But neither is yours. My old friends from the biz world are retiring at 50 to nice spreads in beautiful places. We are “working class” by choice. Which on its own is a strange and often lonely land.
Still others I know from church are living in rvs and cobbling together what they can. A lot of ruin in a nation but what the quip leaves out is that people pay the toll.
Admittedly a lot of it is my jaded perspective. I’ve done nothing but separate from the beast for over a decade and it has been one long downhill slide in all the normal metrics except saving my soul.
Such is my lot, the toil, it’s all vanity etc.
My main point is that the risks and tradeoffs are more real and potentially a lot more costly than the “get out of the cities now” people give credence.
Sometimes doing nothing is actually doing something. Don’t let the panic lead you. Don’t wait for the safe branch to monkey to but also don’t expect to find it md-air once you leap. Plan accordingly.
I’m glad you stuck your landing. Seen you around the threads and you are a squared away lady and your neighbors are lucky to have you.
We will be fine, eventually. It’s all for a reason but of course we can’t know that in the moment. My faith wavers obviously but when most of the older men at church openly say they are glad they won’t be around for what is coming my heart just sinks. And those are the ones who are paying attention. The rest are literally gone fishing. Ha!
We have been out here a dozen years, built up a nice network of friends and of course have done some recon as to who will be a problem if it goes bad. I am fortunate to have a pretty recession proof way to make a living and no one I work for cares if I make fun of blacks or gays.
Very good observations. I think the rural clan thing could break either way frankly. In my experience, rural heritage dwellers are surprised and elated to encounter a new refugee from a blue hive who is more tuned in and anti marxist then themselves. My new place is very rural and the social customs resemble America from the early 1960’s. It is easy to start conversations with strangers in the course of daily business, and a drift in casual talk toward current events often leads to long, unplanned conversations with people who really should be getting back to their work. The frequency and direction of these little chats with a wide variety of home grown locals is encouraging.
The enemy of course virtue signals in all sorts of ways, so it is easy to identify them, take note, and avoid. I have met a good amount of normal people who are liberal bent in their world view, but are moderate in their daily habits and have open minds about things if you come across with logic and no attempt to force your opinion on them. In other words I remain a grey man with this group. It turns out that many of them are against the climate change scam, or the covid plandemic, and migrant invasions, etc. Many of the close neighbors fall into this classification, so it is critical to remain on good terms with them and focus on local co-operation. I interact with many of them over issues like loose dogs or livestock, trespassers and suspicious vehicles, downed trees for firewood and permission to hunt on their land, and the like. The roots of a local defense group are there even with people who reflexively vote D.
The opioid crisis is he main threat to us out here. The shiftless, lazy, and criminally inclined youth and younger adults seem most inclined to fall into the homeless camper ranks and the opioid trafficking statistics. The ratlines for that always stretch back to the shithole cities in Mass and New York,, and the couriers are always who you would expect them too be. They drive up with out of state tags and stick out everywhere. Aside from being busted at home for trafficking, the downstream activities like break ins, thefts, assaults, vandalism, and homelessness are mostly limited to the bigger towns. The nearest one is well under 10k in population and it is a little under 2 hours to a city that breaks 50k. The worst of the professional homeless will eventually drift to the next biggest city or end up incarcerated or in the obituaries for “Died Suddenly” due to an OD. A worsening economic situation will only lead to more people ending up in this bracket, and if there comes a time when someone needs to be shot, it is a cinch bet it will be someone of this ilk. I have noticed that many of these knuckleheads are estranged from their families and are in the process of building new “clans” with their degenerate criminal associates. Will that translate into a close knit group who will try a midnight barn burning where their buddy was caught in the act? Hard to say, there certainly is no immediate profit to them and trying it and the downside risk will already be obvious. I think those inclined to the easy way out in life would have no desire to get shot raiding a farm just because a fellow dirtbag already FAFO there, but who knows. I for one would be switching to a wartime all night vigil routine if I had reason to believe I was a target, and may end up doing that anyway if the situation gets that bad in general.
My hope is that the immediate die-off thins out the herd considerably and that those that do wander out to these parts are shown the error of their ways quickly and decisively.
What if they don’t push everyone out of an impacted area or has Lahaina been forgotten already? Did Hawaii get bonus WEF depopulation points that can be redeemed at a future time?
That was a different situation and to be honest I am still not sure what happened there.
It’s not just that you need to be out of the city. You need to be off the interstates. People only know the interstates and don’t realize that there is quite a bit of America off the interstate (esp out west). Yeah it makes everything else hard, but if you are 50 miles from the interstate, most people can’t find you.
True! A friend of mine retired a little over fifteen years ago and moved to an area of PA that was fairly rural, but only eight minutes from an interstate. Then when the Kung Flu hit, his area experienced a huge influx of people fleeing NY & NJ, almost all of them black/from the DR.
Now he is selling his house because his quiet, pastoral neighborhood has now been overrun and crime is everywhere. He’s now attempting to find a location to start over again. I told him about the proximity to the interstate – as well as a train station – for his future home. He said that when he built his home twenty years ago, being close to the interstate was not a factor in his decision in where to build.
This. We did not relocate to the supposed ‘American redoubt’ in the northwest, but we are in the mountains/hills (such as they are here) and 100 miles in any direction from an interstate highway. You have to genuinely be looking for our specific town in order to find it – no one will just ‘happen’ upon it. Not to mention we are 15 miles from said very small town. And for some reason, although our actual home address shows up on google maps, when people try to use the same for directions google tells them to go off the road miles from us and they end up lost in the woods. Even locals have trouble finding us!
What is quick and convenient in normal times (interstates) will be quickly deadly when the SHTF. It doesn’t take much to snarl up interstate traffic when everyone has plenty of gas, the cops are around and wreckers can get to accidents. When cars stall from running out of gas or people get into accidents driving like maniacs, with no one to sort it out? It will turn those interstates into parking lots and people in their hybrids and minivans won’t be able to get off the road.
Most if not all cities’ rapid evacuation plans involve using all of the available lanes on interstates and highways for outbound traffic. This is not anything new and has already been used multiple times in recent memory for hurricane evacuations.
This leads to multiple points for thought:
1) If you are still living in a city, you had better be planning on leaving before everyone else panics. Frankly there are too many scenarios where this won’t be possible and the likelihood of ignoring the signals after multiple false alarms is very high.
2) If your bugout location isn’t more than 3 days walk or one tank of gas from the nearest major urban center, you had better be difficult to find and have a plan for dealing with large to overwhelming numbers of refugees.
IMO, considering the state of the world today, even living within commuting distance of a large urban center is contraindicated. It’s more than past time to unplug from our sick society and get your homestead on.
I think even a 15 minute head start will be critical, once a few people see their neighbors loading up to run, everyone will do the same thing. If I lived in or near an urban area and planned on bugging out, I would make sure we were ready to go quickly because the trickle will become a flood almost immediately.
Arthur – A lot depends on type of neighborhood. In DFW burbs, most developments have rear garages and driveways that are off of an alley – almost no one uses their front doors. If one is sufficiently organized, one could load up a vehicle inside the garage without any neighbor noticing. Also depends on demographics of the neighborhood. Again, in DFW most are heavily mixed with han and pajeet immigrants, as well as the odd blaq drug dealer with his mercedes (even the wealthiest neighborhoods). Most of the non-Whites don’t generally pay a lot of attention to what their White neighbors do on a daily basis. They are nosey in an aspirational, competitive sort of way, but are less likely to notice when you drive off unless your vehicle is obviously loaded down.
Some people think the non-Whites would be quickest to skedaddle in the event of civil unrest. I think those from some areas like Colombia might, but I think many of the others still trust to White people and authorities to maintain control. I certainly wouldn’t take any cues from them as to when to stay or leave.
This is it, exactly!!
Look at your regular commute home. If you leave at 4:45, you are home quick. If you leave at 5:00, you are in traffic. If you leave at 5:15, you add a half hour to your commute. If you leave at 6:00, you get home about 5 minutes after you would have if you left at 5:15.
I did this commuting home from Hollywood to Ventura. If I left at 5:00 I’d get home at 6:30. If I went and had dinner at Denny’s and left at 6:00, I’d get home at 6:35!
This is just rush hour. Imagine everyone bugging out in a disaster.
Back in the 1960’s, when there was an actual “Civil Defense Agency” (OCD, Part of the DOD) one of the Problems that they studied was exactly This – and they realized that Evacuation of the Cities was physically and logistically Impossible – that was the basis for the Extensive Plans for Fallout Shelters, and in conjunction with that, Anti-Air and Anti-Missile Defenses. Those were Never Deployed on a widespread basis. Only a few of the Nike-Zeus Antimissile Batteries were Built – these had Nuclear Warheads.
One ‘problem’ that was also seen as unsolvable was the effect, titled “Spontaneous Panic Evacuation” where a Rumor got started that an Attack was Imminent, and first a few people ‘Hit the Road’. Once this became Noticeable, increasing numbers of people would head out of the City, and within a couple of Hours, all Roads and Highways would be Jammed, Vehicles would run out of Fuel, and Gridlock that could never be cleared would happen. Then, all those people would be out in the open, Exposed to Attack.
The ‘government’ is Still very aware of this little ‘problem’, and that is why you hear Repeatedly, the phrase “Shelter in Place” from the ‘security’ bureaucracy.
In contrast to No ‘Civil Defense’ here at all, Russia has been Building Up on the C/D and Strategic Defenses from the soviet era. They now have Shelter for 100% of the Population in all Major Cities – and those are Defended by extensive, Hypersonic Interceptor Missiles, the S-400 and -500 Series. There is a certain amount of Evidence that they also Have, and are building more, Laser Cannon that are Powered ‘direct from the Grid’, primarily the Nuclear Powerplants.
Remember, here it was the judeo-communists who Derided and ultimately Blocked, any attempts at Civil Defense, or Nationwide Missile Defense- leaving the Nation completely Defenseless against Strategic Attack.
Every Damn Time – by design of course.
A couple hundred kikes relentlessly pilpulling, along with their greedy goyim toadies, undermine the entire west – without firing a shot!
Anti-nuke hysteria from the beginning was a (((commie))) plot to weaken America. I’ve looked up the research, and the residue from nukes isn’t that big of a deal. Nuclear winter is debunked, and the area right outside of a nuclear crater is fairly safe to live on after 1 year (except in low rain areas.) I remember reading a guy talking about how in the ’60s he got involved in the anti-war movement, and whenever they started talking about how a nuke war was automatically the end of everything, he’d (degree in physics) would try to explain how that wasn’t true. And they’d all freak the fuck out on him.
We’ve nuked Nevada almost 1000 times, mostly right outside Las Vegas. Nevada and LV are still there…
Full-blown nuke war could end civilization, but it would be due to the destruction of infrastructure and the deaths of those in cities that know how to replace that infrastructure. Not because of magical glowing waves or particles.
Which is why Russia put so much effort into nuke shelters; they knew it was absolutely possible to rebuild civilization after a full nuke war. I’m still not sure why our government didn’t, other than the obvious answer that they were pro-USSR from the start. Which many were, but a lot back then were still patriots (or at least pro-whatever nation they ruled.)
I remember in the 1980s that people who were worried about surviving a nuclear attack and had shelters were mocked as crazies.
There are 2 ways to interpret the headline. First is the obvious one, one of distance from urban areas. I saw a map once that put a circle around every city of 50k+ size, with the size determined by the area which that city could cover with something like 30 people per square mile. NYC’s circle went out past Buffalo…
The takeaway was that virtually every place east of the MISS will be a death zone if everyone goes on the road looking for food and safety.
I think other people here have made a great case that it isn’t enough to simply move somewhere w/o blacks; a lot of rural White areas are still a big problem, with their own issues. Contrary to some people’s fantasy, White people rarely identify as ‘White’ in a tribal team-oriented sense.
===
The other way to interpret the title is from the long-term perspective. There is no distance on earth where you can go to live, survive what is coming, and come back to a Utopia because apocalypses only kill Bad People. On the contrary, apocalypses seem to select for extreme assholes and for people who bow down to extreme assholes in exchange for the perception of safety.
The time to find your people is before anything extreme happens, as the bonds needed to survive will happen and solidify very quickly.
The safest place is probably somewhere in the Great Plains, like Nebraska away from the interstate but then you have issues with getting water…
Depends on where you are at in Nebraska…
Read that Southern Oregon is the safest place with no MIC base, Marxist EDU or big city for hundreds of miles.
Pineland engineer bud says the woods behind the outbuilding is yours for the taking and what an honor and a privilege.
All ranch and farms out there with pockets of mini-forests that are beautiful and one Pinelander surrounded his house with trees in a rectangle formation, ace boon honky bud said it would cost over $10k to do the same on his acreage.
All Marxist CPUSA (D) zones will be kill boxes for deplorable kulak untermenschen when the Bosnia x Rwanda hybrid civil/race war kicks off.
Plan accordingly.
That’s why we moved here . . . .
