Check out this dead eyed genius, one Tristan Brian Jackson, arrested for a mass shooting in July at a “block party”, aka “mass shooting magnet”. 2 dead and 28 injured, half of those li’l chidlins under the age of 18.
Baltimore City Police arrested 18-year-old Tristan Brian Jackson in connection with the mass shooting in Brooklyn Homes.
Jackson is charged with 7 counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, 7 counts of attempted first-degree murder, and 41 other charges, according to authorities.
The department believes Jackson shot at several people in the 800 block of 8th Street in the early morning hours of July 2.
According to Baltimore City Police, 28 individuals were hurt and two people died after gunfire broke out during a block party at Brooklyn Homes in south Baltimore.
The two individuals who were killed have been identified as 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzalez and 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi, said police officials.

Tristan Brian Jackson, 18, was wearing an ankle monitor from an unrelated case in juvenile court when he arrived at the Brooklyn Homes block party and joined the crowd, which grew to several hundred people in the hours leading up to the shooting, according to police.
Detectives said GPS data from his ankle monitor corroborated his location at the party. They said he was also caught on surveillance video firing five rounds at a group of seven people who were fleeing in the opposite direction. It was not immediately clear whether Jackson has an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
Another criminal genius! This stupid fuck was wearing a GPS monitor. In his defense, perhaps he didn’t know what GPS stood for, thinking it meant “Gangster Pussy Seeking” ? Regardless he didn’t seem to understand that the monitor was tracking his location and he was seen on camera shooting at people. This might be the quickest plea deal ever and at 18 this homie is going down for the long count.
It is unclear why he was wearing the monitor although he had been arrested just in February for gun charges at a school while he was still 17, or “a baby” as his mama would have described him.
It was not clear from court documents why Jackson was on GPS monitoring. But he was arrested on gun charges in February, when he was 17. Police arrested Jackson after somebody reported to Baltimore School Police they believed he had a handgun in the cafeteria of Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, according to charging documents in that case.
The school principal removed Jackson from the cafeteria before officers confronted him, charging documents in that case show. After a struggle, police arrested him and confiscated a 9 mm Glock handgun loaded with an extended magazine with 16 rounds, school police wrote in those charging papers.
I get that he was a minor but if he be walking around a school with a loaded Glawk 9 mike mike, doesn’t it seem likely he intended to use that gun for something? Regardless, the guy was walking around a few months later with a different handgun and ended up killing and wounding a gaggle of good boys and girls. Those killed were on the path to be productive citizens…
Educated at Baltimore City and Baltimore County schools, (Kylis) Fagbemi had recently registered for a course to become a traveling ultrasound technician. He worked as a forklift operator at Amazon and Kohl’s warehouses and loved video games and playing with his dogs, according to an obituary in the funeral program.

“Aaliyah could draw anything,” said her brother, Rashon Shelborne, in an interview Wednesday at the shooting scene. “She wanted to be a tattoo artist. She had big dreams coming.”
A former child art “prodigy” who was constantly drawing, Gonzalez had seemingly endless energy and love for the people in her life, Shelborne said.
If there is anything the black community needs more of, it is tattoo “artists”.

In a Baltimore City Council hearing on the shooting July 13, Worley apologized for the department’s failure to learn of the annual party in advance and its slow response to the gathering. Police dispatch recordings show911 callers reported a large, armed crowd to police hours before gunfire broke out.
Worley also said at the hearing that police expected to complete an investigation of officer actions and whereabouts during the night of the shooting within 30 to 45 days. That report would draw on review of body camera videos, dispatch recordings and GPS locations, Worley said.

I guess the police are required to figure in advance when project joggers are having a block party but can you blame the local cops for dragging their feet in showing up when called? You roll up to the party and are faced with hundreds of belligerent and drunk blacks, most armed and spoiling for a fight. You and your partner, maybe another patrol car, are now supposed to do what exactly? Tell them to disperse? Turn down their music? They would have been bitched at for harassing the project dwellers and if things got spicy, they would either be killed by the denizens of the projects or be investigated for police brutality. There is no upside to showing up quickly to a call like that, whether it is your job or not.
In big cities, the “justice” system is just there to show up after the fact to collect empty shell casings and make arrests while recycling criminals in and out of jail until they do something serious enough to get real time in the slammer. If you are preparing for a WROL scenario remember this: there are already plenty of places in America functioning without the rule of law and you need to stay clear of them.

Well, in the po-po’s defense, there may have been quite a number of ankle monitor-wearing people in attendance at this soirée, so disambiguation among them finding their guy may have been a bit challenging. Even with some sort of video of the shooter, the incident was at night which complicates things. I also suspect that snitching, even by someone related to victims of the shooter would be hard to come by.
That was my thought as well, what took so long? The guy is on camera and was wearing a monitor.
Maybe he was squinting and didn’t smile, so they couldn’t tell which night-fighter did it…
