No, not that Quagmire.
This is an oldie but a goodie. Well, it’s an oldie.
Oh FFS.
On the best day Haiti is a train-wreck. When you have the “President” assassinated and the various armed gangs running amok for a year? Things aren’t going to work. At all. Keep in mind this is a country where I saw people waiting for a bus with a corpse laying in the street in front of the bus stop and no one seemed to notice.
Any humanitarian corridor would require an armed force to secure it, given the inability of Haiti’s ill-equipped and outgunned police force to take back control from the gangs by themselves. In the decree published by Henry, the government doesn’t specify who should make up the force or how large it should be. It only calls for “a specialized armed force in a quantity sufficient enough to tackle the humanitarian crisis throughout the territory of Haiti.”
This has been the story in Haiti for the last century: things are terrible, White nations go in and clean it up, establishing a semblance of order, then the White nations leave and the Haitians eff everything right back up again. It happens again and again. From the same article:
The U.N. Security Council has already authorized 10 special multinational missions to Haiti over the past decade.
10 times in 10 years and things are worse now than ever.
Maybe it is time to recognize that blacks are incapable of self-governance and let nature take it’s course. Whites can go back and rebuild a nice resort in what used to be Haiti after a year or so.
NMP not my (our) problem
If Wakanda was real, Haiti is it. All blacks, all black rule for over 200 years. Enjoy.
'Haiti' sounds like a portmanteau of "Hate Whitey". I don't suppose this is a coincidence.
You'll need more than a year to rebuild. They've burned all the trees for cooking, lost all the topsoil, and massively overfished coastal waters. They've utterly laid waste to their half of the isle of Hispaniola. The Dominican Republic is hardly any better, with a population that's about a 50/50 mix of sub-Saharan and Indio – and 2 million of them are in the US. Just use a neutron bomb to get rid of the current inhabitants, pile up the existing rubble, cover the rest with cardboard and manure, and wait. Perhaps in another decade it will be fit for human life.
When it was a French colony, it as the richest of the sugar islands in the West Indies. When the French Revolution broke out, the revolutionary government encouraged salve revolts there that in the course of 10 years or so deliberately wiped out the white population. The black general who ran the uprising crowned himself in imitation of Napoleon. He then took the new Revolutionary French flag, the red, white, and blue tricolor and ripped out the white section while proclaiming that white people were banned from living in the new country of Haiti. The Haitian flag is still red and blue. Supposedly they have a constitution that supposedly also says that white people cannot be citizens or live there. This successful slave revolt and genocide of the white population was the ideal outcome the Abolitionists envisioned for the American South.
"Africa wins again" apparently doesn't refer to the continent, but the population that evolved there.
I don't know why we need to help them, after all they are so resilient they can fend off starvation with dirt cookies.
"Charlene, 16 with a 1-month-old son, has come to rely on a traditional Haitian remedy for hunger pangs: cookies made of dried yellow dirt from the country's central plateau."
"Though she likes their buttery, salty taste, Charlene said the cookies also give her stomach pains. "When I nurse, the baby sometimes seems colicky too," she said."
"even the price of the edible clay has risen over the past year by almost $1.50. Dirt to make 100 cookies now costs $5, the cookie makers say.
Still, at about 5 cents apiece, the cookies are a bargain compared to food staples."

tell us again what the border between Haiti and Domincan Republic looks like.
Wall it up, let them figure it out.
Nope. France, the former owner of Haiti, should pay for ALL the needs. WE didn't own it, cause the problems, or benefit in any way from it.
