Repost: Happy Juneteenth!

In a highly amusing coincidence, “Juneteenth” coincides with Father’s Day this year, funny since so few of the people who are celebrating “Juneteenth” know who their father is.

Happy Juneteenth!

Yes indeed we have us a brand spankin’ new national holiday! Juneteenth!

The actual event is a goofy, muddled and irrelevant side-note in American history that was only celebrated or heard of in one region. As recently as a few years ago, the vast majority of American had never heard of it but it gained traction and all of a sudden we find ourselves with a new day for government employees to get a paid day off under the pretense of celebrating the end of slavery.

The end of slavery, whatever day you choose, is laudable enough although the name of the holiday is dumb and sounds like something an illiterate person would say. My issue with this new holiday has to do with the reason for making a national holiday, now in 2021. This holiday isn’t really about celebrating the end of slavery, it is actually just another way to remind Americans for the umpteenth time that Africans used to be slaves, America’s “original sin”, as if America was unique in having slaves. Mention Arab slavery or slavery in South America or even the simple fact that Africans enslaved other Africans, and you get a blank stare. Nope, there was slavery in America and that is all that matters. In fact, all of Western history boils down to two things:

Slavery.

Holocaust.

That is it, nothing else has happened for the last 500 years.

Makes you wonder what new holiday will be mandated next. George Floyd’s birthday? The day Michael “Gentle Giant” Brown died after robbing a store owner and then attacking a cop? Who knows, the possibilities are endless!

What is really ironic is that Juneteenth is supposed to be a day for blacks to celebrate but while humanity has always had (and still does in many places) slavery, only White Americans fought a bloody civil war to (in part) end the practice.

Yes, I know there is a lot more to the Civil War, no need for “well ackshuly” in the comments.

Really “Juneteenth” is a day that we should recognize the sacrifice of White Americans to free the African slaves in the United States. I think that a hearty “thank you!” and perhaps some act of service in gratitude would be appropriate for all Africans living in America on this day. Not only did Whites free you, we have been subsidizing you for the last 150 years and providing a far better life for you than you would have had if your ancestors had not been enslaved by your fellow Africans and sold to slave traders.

So to all my many, many African readers: go thank a White person today!

The African slave trade was the best thing that ever happened if you are a modern day black in America. I say the same thing about the potato famine if you're Irish (like me) and it made your ancestors flee to come here. Any event, no matter how catastrophic for those who experienced it at the time, is a benefit to those who are here today.

Even the name, 'Juneteenth', conjures up images of marble-mouthed ferals inventing babytalk babble, too ignorant to understand the language proper. The first time I heard the word 'ebonics' I was certain it was just a joke. I've witnessed the more intelligent (i.e. White-admixed) upright pongids slip into street-speak depending on who it is they are talking to, and always wondered if they are ever embarrassed by having to do so.

To our overly entitled, dusky adult children, every day is their birf'day. They not only expect but demand to be heaped with praise and supplication simply for being descended from those luckless losers who were sold into slavery by rival tribesmen. My White pride would not allow me to accept empty, meaningless accolades or material bribes to refrain from chimping out. But we sure are paying the Danegeld to the homeboys. Since it's not working anyway, I want my money back.

Interestingly, I had actually heard of "Juneteenth" back in the early 1980s. I was working, I'm ashamed to say, for what was at the time Martin Marietta in Orlando. In the system test group in which I worked was a mechanical engineer of the black persuasion — a pretty good guy, really — who informed me one June 19 that it was "juneteenth." I showed the complete lack of comprehension that you might expect of a White man when confronted with that nonsensical word, and he explained: "It's Juneteenth! Tha's nigger-day!" That was all the explanation that he offered, and I didn't press him further, envisioning banquet tables groaning under the weight of vast amounts of fried chicken, watermelon, and grape soda, perhaps with a pack of Kools for each celebrant to enjoy afterward. In recent years, however, I've been bitter about it, especially since June 19 is my late mother's birthday. Wish they'd picked some other random date to defile.

Interesting that the Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating nigger freedom given to them by white people. Not something they could ever earn by themselves. And Cinco de Mayo celebrates a single Mexican victory in a war they ultimately lost. At least we won the revolutionary war for our July 4th celebration.

"freedom given to them by white people" I was just reflecting on that. Wouldn't the appropriate way to celebrate this be to give white federal and state employees the day off?

Absolutely correct! Slaybery and the holohoax are the sole subjects taught at length in history classes today.
Never expect any thanks from despicable ingrates – they only know how to take… and take… and take….
Seriously count on several more 'holidays' and empty galas being enacted to consecrate the untermensch most unworthy of having them.
Get ready for rubbish like Holocaust Day (already acknowledged by the U.N. on January 27th.); Latino History Month (in May of course); Womyns Day (or week – or month – or quarter, they're never satisfied); LGBTQ Day (already celebrated throughout the decadent west); Say No To Whiteness Day; BLM Victory Day (incorporating Floyd and the rest of the vermin), Victims Day (at the hands of white men naturally) etc. etc.
A sincere Happy Father's Day to all those dads that never abandoned their children – even when the unimaginable bitch got custody!!
