I still haven't seen part 1 of the current re-do. Thinking about doing so just makes me tired. Hollyweird is so bankrupt of imagination and originality, all they can do is remakes, reboots, comic-book "movies," reboots of comic book "movies" … Vomitville.
By the way, how did they manage to make a "part 1" without the Emperor having shown up yet? Must be that each part covers so little ground, there'll end up being about 20 parts.
He is referenced but never actually seen, the backstory is a little shaky because you don't see his interaction with the Spice Guild but it sort of works. I wouldn't pay to see it but it was was worth watching.
Honest Trailers wasn't very kind to it. Haven't seen it myself and likely won't. Tired of being disappointed in remakes, reboots, etc. and the cuts in Honest Trailers (cherry picked notwithstanding) didn't encourage me. I'll just read the book when I need a fix. And how do you figure a black female for Chani's FATHER for Fs sake?
