The news flashed yesterday and then quickly seemed to fade away, which was weird because the media should have been all over it: a hostage situation at a Texas synagogue, Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville. A hostage situation at a synagogue? That should have had the media salivating but it was pretty quiet because it also came out that the hostage taker was demanding the release of a Pakistani Muslim woman named Aafia Siddiqui. Oops.
The Russia Times revealed the name a short time ago:
Malik Faisal Akram, a 44-year-old British citizen
Double oops.
And just like that the story will disappear other than Biden vowing to…
….speak with the rabbi on how his administration can support houses of worship with “the antisemitism that’s ramping up.”
So that will be that. Had the hostage taker been a White guy, this would have gotten wall to wall coverage but as it is the story will disappear immediately. It is awfully frustrating for the media when their favored groups don’t play nicely together.
Why Colleyville? There are much larger synagogues and concentrations of Juice in Texas elsewhere. Although its population is growing like everywhere else in Texas, Colleyville is relatively small at just under 28k people, and it's majority White and English speaking. There are a number of churches, but only one synagogue . . . and one mosque.
Immigration (international and internal) equals death and destruction.
What a fine British name . . .
