The Real Pandemic

This health trend will kill far more people and cost more in (actual) health care than the Chinese coronavirus.

New CDC Study: “the portion of 5-11-year-olds who are classified as overweight or obese is now 45.7 percent, up from 36.2 percent before the pandemic.”

Willful, preventable obesity. This one has been my hobby horse for a decade and a half, ever since stumbling on low-carb, and especially very-very low-carb (i.e. keto) in early middle age. After a lifetime of futile struggle on the Standard American Diet (SAD), VVLC literally saved my bacon, allowing me to finally achieve the weight and physique I never had as a teen and a young man. The low-fat approach was an even bigger scam and hoax than the coolie flu is.

It's far easier to not get fat in the first place than to lose it once it's entrenched. All the more reason to look after the children, and spare them a lifetime of miserable obesity. It grieves me to see fat young married couples with fat toddlers. There is virtually no hope for such kids, Nature and nurture conspiring to wreck their lives in one big, fat, toxic storm.
