A Quick Word Of Caution

With things going to shit in Afghanistan, there are lots of rumors charging around the internet. The problem is that most people are repeating them verbatim as if they know this stuff first hand while much of it is coming 3rd or 4th hand at best. The Taliban are bad dudes by most every measure but that doesn’t mean that everything you read on the internet is true. What is more, there isn’t a thing you can do about it

Are the Taliban executing Christians? I have no idea, maybe. Are they taking teen-aged Afghan girls as “brides”? Also no idea. Maybe. Probably? Is there anything I can do about it. Nope. Do I want to see American forces go back into Afghanistan to stop it? Also nope.
The world has generally always been a dumpster fire with lives that are solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short. People suffer unspeakable crap all day every day all over the world. There are a few regions where this is generally not true but for the most part the majority of humanity live awful lives. In a better world we could try to do something about it but in this world we live in circa 2021, all we can do is concentrate on our own immediate sphere of influence.
Maybe someday things will get better but not for a long time. Don’t believe anything everything you read on the internet and focus on what you can do for your family and neighbors. Worrying about things you have no control over is a waste of time and emotional strength.

I'm more worried about the federal (Canadian) vaxxxport to travel inside the country coming October 1st.
I'm also worried about the idiots on social media calling for execution of unvaxxxed or the fie bombing of their homes. I tealize that 99.5% of those idiots are just talking out their ass, but its the 0.5% who will do something stupid.

Additionally the fact these assclowns see nothing wrong with their statements tells me that we are being conditioned into an us vs them mind set. Its not very far from people calling for murder to putting people into camps as history shows.

On your topic i recieved an email from a friend detailing the christian deaths in afhganistan. It was long and mentioned 2 cities/towns. Out of curriosity i looked them up. Both are in syria, looks like someone dusted off an old accusation of genocide from syria and updated the country name.

That is exactly what I am talking about. People just hear this stuff and take it without thinking about it at all. Christians are especially vulnerable to this because they trust other people who claim to be Christians.

I read where the presstitutes wrote that the Taliban fighters were having sexual intercourse with the dead bodies of young women they had either killed or found dead. That reminded me two things: All those claims of barbarism when Saddam invaded Kuwait {which for the most part turned out to be just bullshit lies}, and sex with my ex after our divorce. Whenever she would need new tires, something fixed, what have you, yeah, you get the idea.
