I fired off an email to both of my Senators from Indiana (Todd Young and Mike Braun) this morning asking them to oppose the nomination of David Chipman to head the ATF (or AFT depending on Biden’s meds). Chipman is a radical anti-gun zealot owned by the anti-2nd Amendment lobby and having him as the head of the ATF is like appointing David Duke as the ambassador to Israel. Here is the text of the letter:
Dear Senator Young
We are writing you today to urge you to oppose the nomination of David Chipman to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Mr. Chipman is a radical anti-gun advocate and has no place heading the ATF. As the owners of a small Federal Firearms Licensed gun store we need to work with the ATF as our partners in the Federal government and someone like Mr. Chipman is unsuited to being a partner with the firearms industry. His work with far Left anti-2nd Amendment advocacy groups makes it clear that he sees the ATF as a tool to destroy the firearms industry and a person like that cannot be an effective leader of the department tasked with overseeing that same industry. Again we strongly urge your opposition to David Chipman’s nomination.
Chipman is known for his role in the Waco slaughter, later lying about the attack and saying that the Branch Davidians shot down two helicopters which is completely untrue. He is a throwback to the Clinton-era persecution of American citizens in events like Waco and Ruby Ridge and you can be sure he will push the power of the ATF to infringe on the 2nd Amendment rights of American citizens. It is likely he will be confirmed but at least I want to go on record as opposing his nomination.
He is a bad man.
