Good info

If you live out in the country, your water likely comes from a well and your well pump only works if you have electricity. So if the power goes out and you don't have a way to run the pump...no water. There are other alternatives but what is described here is a good, low tech way to get water in a pump. We are going to check it out and build one of our own.

  1. I replaced. Y electric pump at my Cabin with a stainless steel Simple pump. My well is +_ 175' deep and it does not need to be primed.

    1. Very smart, i am very concerned about this being an issue in a SHTF situation.

  2. If you have the time look into a Simple Pump which is the actual company name. They can be installed along your existing electric submersible pump. They are pricey but the are all stainless.

  3. I was wondering how to use my drilled well...looks like I'm going to need 400' of rope. I have the other items. Thanks for sharing.
