See, if I start talking about a secretive cabal that is running things behind the scenes, I get suspended on social media and get called an antisemite but Time just flat out says "Yep, we stole the election and there is fuck all you can do about it" and no one bats an eye.
Is cabal ever used in a non-pejorative sense? Not really but here it is in bold black and white declaring that the elites in our society, from media to union bosses to globohomo corporations, were all colluding to ensure they outcome the desired would come to pass. By the way, stuff like:
"the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy."
....ought to dispel any remaining illusions that anyone might harbor that Big Labor gives a shit about people who actually labor for a living. Never has, at least not in the last hundred years or so, never will. Labor union bosses wanted Biden but the union workers themselves, other than the SEIU and teachers, voted for Trump.
This article was of course given the imprimatur from the mandarins in the Imperial Capital and it served one purpose and one only:
To tell the politically aware that *they* stole the election, they are rubbing your face in it and they know you can't do a damn thing about it.
This is a victory parade in newsprint. They cheated, they won, they did it again in Georgia and now they are never going to give up power. Ever.
The only thing left to do is prepare for the spicy times and throw sand in the gears to speed it up while you are young enough and we have enough people left to do something.
