Some Blackpilling From Black Pigeon Speaks

BPS reminds us that elections really don't matter all that much. The lobbyists and bureaucrats make the laws. The last four years have seen Trump, a man who claimed he was going to "drain the swamp", pounding his head against a brick wall to get anything done. Hundreds of thousands of nameless, faceless bureaucrats craft the regulations and lobbyists write laws and bribe legislators to pass those laws to benefit their own business interests and Trump has largely proven powerless to overcome this system.

You should still vote, I will, but the problem is not a swamp to be drained but an army of ticks, lodged in and draining the American people dry. They won't be dislodged easily and it will likely require something a little more aggressive than voting to remove them from power....

Not sure I can agree there. Yes, I've already voted for him -- more properly, against All Right-Thinking Folk -- but I don't think he's been doing a whole lot of banging his noggin against any walls. Helluva lot of tweets, for sure. Helluva lot of swamp denizens brought in to staff his administration, too. Foreign policy pretty much outsourced to Jared/Ivanka and Plumpeo, which means, in effect, to Netanyahu.

I don't get the feeling that Trump cares much, if at all, about the things I care about. He richly deserves to lose. Just not nearly as richly as the Biden crime family and the Bitter Bindi (thanks, Zman, for that apt title!) deserve to lose.

    1. That is fair but I would say that endlessly hiring swamp critters into his administration who immediately backstab him, is part of that banging his head on the wall.
