A 5 Year Old Boy Executed. Where Is The Media?

On Sunday afternoon, August 9th 2020, in Wilson, North Carolina, a 5 year old boy was playing outside of his home. A 25 year old man, apparently a neighbor, walked up to this 5 year old and shot him in the head, killing him in cold blood, before running back to his home. The boy's 7 and 8 year old sisters were also playing outside and watched their brother get murdered.

It is impossible to fathom this. There isn't a scenario that I can even imagine that would explain or justify this. Shooting someone in general is something none of us really wants to ever have to do but to shoot a 5 year old child while he is playing outside? That is simply monstrous.

What is really troubling is that the shooting has received almost no national coverage. While many local news outlets picked up the story, as of Tuesday it isn't on the front page or anywhere to be found on the website of Fox News or CNN. More on that in a moment.

Because this is 2020 and everything is worse this year, there is an added component to the story. The boy who was murdered in cold blood was named Cannon Hinnant and here is a picture of him.

The man arrested for shooting him in broad daylight is named Darius Sessoms, and we have a picture of him as well, whether from this arrest or a previous is unclear.

You can probably see the issue right away.

As stated earlier, this is getting little national news coverage from the big outlets. I searched for both Darius Sessoms and Cannon Hinnant at the websites of Fox and CNN and got nothing. I also did a search of their front page for the two names, also nothing.

This is probably tiresome to read for the millionth time but we can't just throw our hands up.

If a White man had walked up and shot a 5 year old black kid in the head while he was playing, it would be national news for weeks.

There would be endless press conferences, denunciations from political and entertainment figures, Congressional hearings and likely civil unrest. Even when a black is killed in a perfectly justified shooting like what happened recently in Chicago, it still leads to massive rioting and looting. Something like this? Cities would be burning.

To be clear:

There is no indication as of now that there is a racial component to this. It sounds like some sort of personal beef between the father and Darius Sessoms that led to the shooting. The police are being circumspect, as is expected but the news is reporting this:

No details about a possible motive for the shooting have been released, but police said the shooting wasn't random.

"Wasn't random" is a nice way of saying that Sessoms shot this kid for a specific reason. I don't think there is a reason to assume this was racially motivated, unlike other incidents, but again if the races were reversed the media wouldn't need a shred of proof to assume it was racially motivated.

The double standard is blatant and it is also dangerous.

It is dangerous because many White people are coming to the conclusion that the statement "black Lives Matter" is tacitly saying "White lives don't matter". The national media doesn't care when a White child is gunned down by a black man but we know that a black child getting gunned down by a White man would be all over the news. A 5 year old executed in his own yard should be national news, regardless of the race of the child and shooter, and if a White man had shot a 5 year old black kid in the head, I would be at the head of the line to volunteer to return the favor and save the taxpayers the cost of a trial and incarceration.

If White people believe that their lives have no value and that there is a major double-standard when it comes to how interracial crime is reported and treated, that can only serve to inflame racial tension and resentment. It is already hard enough to watch the news and see an endless parade of black men in mugshots accompanying most murders or seeing videos of groups of blacks preying on solitary Whites or watching footage of blacks looting luxury goods stores.

Despite what you hear from the media and popular culture, White people are generally very passive in encountering blacks. As I keep pointing out, interracial violent crime is skewed heavily toward black on White, around 90% of the cases. White people rarely victimize blacks (and rarely doesn't mean never), especially considering that there are quadruple the number of White people as blacks in America.

People I encounter in the real world aren't saying it out loud but you can read between the lines. Terms like "riot" and "loot" are becoming synonymous with "black". It seems like the government and law enforcement are standing aside while blacks commit crimes and when those crimes are committed against Whites, the media looks the other way.

This is creating a combustible situation and we are past the point of largely defusing the problem by screeching "racist!". People just don't care like they used to thanks to words like "racism" and "White supremacy" being used indiscriminately. There is going to be a backlash, and that is precisely what the media wants. They don't really care about black lives and would love to see some White guy snap and gun down a group of black people. I might go so far as to say they are trying to create the conditions for this to happen. That might make for good press and keep lots of "journalists" busy but it could also get out of hand in a hurry.

Does noticing the disparity in criminal behavior and the matching disparity in how the media covers interracial violent crime make me a "racist"? I guess so based on the ridiculous standards and definitions we use today. For most of our history as a nation I wouldn't be considered a "racist" by sensible people, but in 2020 simply noticing patterns, no matter how overt, and speaking about them publicly gets you branded as a "racist". Fortunately I have stopped caring about name-calling.

As stories and incidents one after another gets ignored by the media but noticed by regular Americans, it keeps increasing the temperature and we are near a boiling point. We might already be past the point where we can stand this thing down.

If people don't feel like they are treated equally, they become resentful and resentment can turn into hatred in a hurry. We see this on display in black communities already and if the same becomes common in the White community, things are going to get spicy and the media will bear much of the blame.

WTF, The Media Loves Guns Now!

In general, the media hates guns, especially legally obtained firearms owned by White people. The news media is endlessly running stories about gun violence, all while pretending that gun violence isn't mostly contained in black communities. Armed White people are dangerous racists embolden by racist Trump and his racist dog whistle racism. Also racism.

I wrote over the weekend about Solomon Jones, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, who wrote about buying his first gun not for protection from the people likely to actually threaten him, other black men, but rather from the boogeyman of "racist White Trump supporters". The statistics are tiresome but apparently bear repeating: Whites commit violent crime of all sorts and especially murder at drastically lower rates than blacks and far lower than our proportion of the population.

Anyway, in general the media hates guns and hates people buying guns legally. Most of the time that is to say. When the buyers are White people, it is an ominous sign of impending violence but when the buyers are black? Well the media is ecstatic. From the Detroit Free Press:

Gun sales are rising in Michigan. The buyers might surprise you

In the midst of these changes, gun owners are becoming more diverse. Nearly 15% of those who bought guns during the first six months of the year are Black, an increase of more than 50%, according to a survey from the trade organization National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Blacks are around 13% of the population and many live in predominantly black neighborhoods where violent crime is most widespread. So no, that doesn't surprise me all that much. However, as you read through the article, you start to see a theme that keeps popping up and shockingly it is "racism"....

The jumps coincide with the early days of the pandemic in Michigan and the death of George Floyd, a Black man killed by a white Minneapolis police officer on Memorial Day.

The jumps in background checks were caused by the riots that followed the death of drugged up career violent criminal George Floyd. I know this first hand.

Gun clubs saw increases in memberships, especially from women worried about personal protection and people of color concerned about their safety and racism, according to club leaders in Mid-Michigan.

People of color should be concerned about their safety, but not from racists, rather they should worry about their fellow "people of color".

Tracy Olsen, a gun owner since 2015, said the stereotypical image of gun owners — white, conservative and male — doesn’t reflect the broadening pool of gun owners in American today.

“The image that pops into people’s minds when you say gun owner is not a good image, and I consider myself someone who is trying to change that,” said Olsen, 35, a Lansing resident who is white and doesn't identify as conservative.

Why would the image of White conservative males be "not a good image" to Tracy, who is also White? Maybe the picture helps explain:

Tracy is described as a "LGBTQ ally" and his ear protection has a button that proclaims "Armed Equality" with the rainbow colors. Looks like he is also an "ally" of all-you-can-eat buffets and jelly donuts. Me too.

Tashmica Torok, who is Black, said she wouldn’t have considered buying or owning a gun five years ago.

“But then I also didn’t have white men showing up at the Capitol, five minutes from my house with semi-automatic weapons,” said Torok. “I just didn’t think I’d have those gunmen five minutes from my home during a season of anti-Black violence that has increased and the lack of protection that Black people experience from law enforcement. There’s like this perfect storm of violence and white supremacy that has definitely made me reconsider the purpose of having a gun in my home and whether it’s worth having one.”

Tashmica is terrified because (actually peaceful) protesters went to the Michigan Capitol and many of them were legally carrying firearms. No one was hurt but in the liturgy of the American Left, the protests at the state capitol in Lansing were basically a Klan rally.

Again, Tashmica regurgitates the lines about "a season of anti-black violence" in spite of any evidence to support that claim. There simply isn't widespread "anti-black violence", not from the police and not from "White supremacists". It is pretty amusing when blacks complain about the "lack of protection" from cops. When cops do their job and arrest criminals, often black criminals? Racist. When they don't arrest criminals? Also racist.

Marie Duncan, of DeWitt, bought her first gun in February after family members urged her to consider it. She finished a gun safety class in July. Today, she feels having a gun in her home for protection is “as necessary” as her refrigerator.

“I just feel like we’re in a time right now where things are so unexpected,” said Duncan, who is Black. “Unfortunately, we live in a time when racism is on a high. It’s almost something we breathe every day. We have police brutality going on and it’s almost like you can’t trust anyone anymore.”

More "racism" talk. More yammering about "police brutality". More ignorance of the actual threat to black people, men and women, from black men.

The "rhetoric" coming from President Donald Trump isn’t easing fears about personal safety, according to Mujahid Abdul-Hameed, president of the Malcolm Little Gun Club, a chapter of the National African American Gun Association.

“We hear the racist talk from the president,” Abdul-Hameed, 70, said. “He is not blowing a dog whistle. He is saying it outright.”

The state of the world is why Abdul-Hameed is cautious about his own safety. Whether he is taking a trip to Walmart or elsewhere, he makes sure to bring his gun with him.

It is smart for Abdul-Hameed to go around armed but not because of "racist" Trump voters but because of the "people of color" who overwhelmingly commit gun violence. He lives in Lansing which has it's share of gun violence but as is almost always the case, it is happening in the very same black community he is urging to arm themselves for protection against "racists".

You get the point. Lots of huffing and puffing about the Lansing protests, which again resulted in zero violence or any criminal behavior at all. Meanwhile black on black violence and black on White violence continues unabated. Just last night hundreds of people, mostly black based on the videos, looted luxury stores in Chicago in response to Chicago police shooting a black man who was shooting at them. Detroit, around 85% black, is one of the leaders on the list of murders per capita and virtually all of the murders are black on black. The other large cities on that list like Baltimore, Flint, Gary and St. Louis also have large black populations and the shootings are black men shooting other black men (and black women and black children caught in the crossfire).

Like virtually all gun owners and enthusiasts, I am in favor of more people responsibly and legally owning firearms so I applaud blacks buying guns and getting training to use them responsibly. What I will not let go unanswered is the media attempts to smear White men like me as violent "racists" when we are not a danger to blacks who are not first a danger to us. Black people are being lied to all day, every day, and this makes them blind to the real threat from their own community and resentful and hate-filled toward people like me who are no threat to them.

By all means, arm yourself to protect your family, property and yourself but at least take the time to understand what the real threat is.

Once Every Minute

The fantasy vs reality gap in America as it pertains to violent crime might be the most significant gap in our culture. To hear politicians, celebrities and the mass media tell it, blacks are often the victims of violent crime at the hands of cops and White people. Recall when career criminal Ahmaud Arbery was shot while attacking an armed man, LeBron James tweeted that blacks are "literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME" they leave the house.

Keep in mind that LeBron James bought a $23 million mansion in Brentwood, a Los Angeles neighborhood that is 84% White, 6.5% Asian and only 1.2% black. It seems that if White people are hunting down black people EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME blacks go outside, black people with the means to live anywhere would want to live where there aren't many White people. Anyway.

What brings this topic back up is an editorial from a guy named Solomon Jones. Jones is a columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer and had this particular piece published in the Miami Herald and picked up by Yahoo! "News". The title alone is pretty amusing:

I’ve bought my first gun. As a Black man, I no longer feel safe in America

It isn't amusing that he doesn't feel safe, I absolutely understand why a black guy would feel unsafe in America. What is amusing is that based on it being published at Yahoo!, you already know why he feels "unsafe". According to Jones, he never thought he needed a gun even through the crack epidemic in North Philly but now he does and he bought one.

Like I said, I get why he would want a gun. I just read an article from Philly this morning...

Boy, 11, Grazed By Bullets as More Gunfire Erupts in Philadelphia

I have noted the massive increase in gun violence in Philadelphia but I guess I didn't quite get the actual scope of it. This line brought it into stark relief.

There have been more than 1,800 shootings and nearly 1,100 shooting victims in the city this year alone, according to Philadelphia Police Department crime statistics.

Over 1,800 shootings through August 2. August 2nd is the 214th day of the year. If I am doing the math right, that works out to 8.4 shootings on average every day so far this year.

Guess who is doing the shooting? If you guessed "Trump voters", "White supermacists/nationalists", "rednecks" or "White people in general", you would be wrong. Philadelphia is around 42% black, 14% mestizo and less than 35% White. Whites aren't doing the shooting, blacks and mestizos are.

This is to be expected. Blacks are over-represented by an enormous margin when it comes to gun violence. This also means that blacks are also over-represented as gun violence victims. That isn't why Solomon Jones bought his first gun. Nope, he bought it to defend himself against...White people.

I still believe I’m fairly safe among Black people. I think my family is, too. However, in a time of economic and medical strife, with a president who regularly engages in racial rhetoric that paints Black and brown people as the other, I’m concerned about what the future may hold. To be blunt, President Trump has emboldened America’s racists, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it would be irresponsible to leave my family defenseless.

He believes he is "fairly safe" among black people. The statistics would indicate otherwise. At the same time he is a-skeer'd of "racists" emboldened by Trump. Continuing...

While I continue to feel safe in my home and community, America as a whole has grown increasingly dangerous for Black people under Trump’s leadership.

Again, I grant that America is growing more and more dangerous for blacks but it has nothing to do with racist Trump supporters.

All of this has emboldened those who hate Black people. We’ve seen their racist actions as they’ve called the police on Blacks for perceived infractions like barbecuing, or sleeping, or bird-watching while black. We’ve seen them challenge government in places like Michigan with heavily armed protests that looked more like Klan rallies than demonstrations against coronavirus restrictions.

For all of that emboldening, it doesn't seem to translate into action. Where are the shootings of innocent blacks by racist Whites, "emboldened by Trump" Mr. Jones?

Still, this reality remains. In Trump’s America, there is an emboldened and heavily armed faction that believes in racist ideology, and while I believe they’re vastly outnumbered by fair-minded people, they are here. But so am I, and I’m not going anywhere.

Third time with the "emboldened" rhetoric.

Still, as long as racists have the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, I will be practicing that right, too.

I absolutely support that and every 2A advocate I know does as well. Solomon Jones should absolutely legally own a firearm and take the time to learn to use it safely and responsibly. What is missing from this screed, long on emotional rhetoric and short on any facts, is that statistically speaking Solomon Jones faces no credible threat from White people but he is in a great deal of danger from his fellow blacks that he feels "fairly safe" around.

Blacks mostly commit violent crime against other blacks. When you hear about the seemingly endless shootings in urban areas, it is almost always black on black. White people mostly stay out of those areas and mestizos tend to self-segregate and commit crime against other mestizos. Statistically, a black person is far more likely to be the victim of another black than he is someone of another race, especially Whites.

On the other side, Whites mostly commit violent crime against other Whites. White on black crime is very rare, and I suspect most of the incidents called White-on-black are mestizos categorized as White. Some types of violent crime, specifically rape and sexual assault, are so rarely White on black that there are essentially no cases. The reverse is unfortunately not true.

While intraracial crime is the rule, there is enough interracial crime to warrant mentioning and it is heavily skewed in one direction. Going back to a post from last year, The Most Important Government Report You Will Never Hear About, I refer you to the quote from Heather MacDonald:

It is now a standard trope, implanted in freshmen summer reading lists through the works of Ta-Nehesi Coates and others, that whites pose a severe, if not mortal, threat to blacks. That may have once been true, but it is no longer so today. Just this month, the Bureau of Justice Statistics released its 2018 survey of criminal victimization. According to the study, there were 593,598 interracial violent victimizations (excluding homicide) between blacks and whites last year, including white-on-black and black-on-white attacks. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies, or 90 percent, and whites committed 56,394 of them, or less than 10 percent. That ratio is becoming more skewed, despite the Democratic claim of Trump-inspired white violence. In 2012-13, blacks committed 85 percent of all interracial victimizations between blacks and whites; whites committed 15 percent. From 2015 to 2018, the total number of white victims and the incidence of white victimization have grown as well.

In summary:

- Blacks commit 90% of interracial violent crime.

- That percentage and the total number of actual incidents is rising.

Statistics like these are getting hard to come by as the powers that be try desperately to shield the American public from the truth about black violent crime.

For a matter of perspective. 537,204 black on White violent crimes in 2018, 90% of the total, averages out to......

- 1,471 incidents of black on White violent crime every single day of the year.

- 61 incidents of black on White violent crime every hour.

- A little over one incident of black on White violent crime every minute of every day in America.

Yet Solomon Jones has the audacity to say he is arming himself to protect his family from "racists" emboldened by Trump touting black unemployment numbers.

If I say that I am arming myself in part to protect my family from black violent criminals, which is statistically speaking a reasonable position, then I am the racist.

Apparently that doesn't matter. As we learned from The American "Conservative", what matters is not objective facts but rather how something makes you feel. If blacks are endlessly told they are victims of White racism and violence, then we have to just accept that as true. It doesn't matter that those statements are both untrue and slanderous, the only consideration is how it makes non-Whites feel.

On average, every minute of every day throughout America, a White person is the victim of a violent crime committed by blacks.

There really isn't a more significant fact to know in America today when it comes to crime and race relations but this fact is known by very few people and many who do know it, simply lie about it.

Disengage From The System

It was February of 2014 and I found myself without a job. Health issues had forced my departure from my last corporate employer and I was in pretty unfamiliar and very unsettling circumstances. From June of 1998 when I took my first financial services job answering phone calls in New Hampshire until February 2014 I had an unbroken string of jobs in financial services. From answering phones to managing clients to running bank branches, the employer name changed but the direct deposits kept coming in and got bigger each year.

Suddenly there were no more direct deposits. There was no money just showing up every two weeks.

The bills? They seemed to keep coming. Apparently they want the mortgage payment whether you are getting a direct deposited paycheck or not. The same with the electricity bill, the internet bill, the property tax bill. Oh and the kids apparently still wanted to eat.

So I needed to figure out how to get money to pay for that stuff and going back to sitting in a cubicle working some soul-crushing, meaningless job wasn't going to get it done. Long story short, we figured it out.

It looks a lot different from what I did before. Back in the corporate days my pay was the same whether I was drinking coffee, blogging and managing my fantasy baseball team all day or whether I was on the phone with clients and solving problems all day. Now I get paid based on how much I work and how smart I work. With the things that I do for money, I can work really hard and not make much or I can be really good at what I do, not work nearly as hard and get paid a lot more.

What I also realized is something I think we all already know. We made do on much less than I was earning before. Over the many years I worked in financial services and banking, I kept earning a higher salary, mainly by working for a few years and then taking that additional experience and going to a new company so instead of a 4-5% annual increase, I got a 10-20% bump. What was weird is that it never seemed like we had more money even though the dollar amount of the direct deposits into my bank statement kept going up.

Then something odd happened. The income coming in dropped drastically and we started to watch our spending a lot more closely but instead of being impoverished, our daily life pretty much stayed the same. The bills got paid, the kids got fed. Turns out we are pretty low maintenance people, thanks to decades of having more and more kids in the house. We don't take expensive vacations or really vacations at all. We don't have the most up to date smartphones, in fact we were one of the last families I know to get a smart phone and it was only recently that my wife and I both had one. We didn't eat out very often as I mostly made meals at home and taking eight kids out to eat is a nightmare. Even now that we do eat out more frequently, we mostly eat at places where the bill is less than $40 for my wife and I. We don't smoke and rarely drink. Like I said, we are low maintenance people.

You don't need to make as much money as you think you do, what you really need to do is figure out how to reduce the out-flows more than worry about the in-flow. As a sidenote, this is the problem in the government as well.

Long story not so short: I have survived leaving corporate America and you can too. Not only survived but have absolutely no desire to go back.

The next piece of the puzzle: The case of Justin Kucera.

Justin was a teacher and baseball coach at Walled Lake Western High School in Michigan. I said "was" because he was fired and the apparent reason he was fired?

Walled Lake teacher says he was fired after tweeting ‘Trump is our president’

A high school teacher and coach claims he was fired from Walled Lake Western High School after his recent tweet stirred up controversy.

Justin Kucera, a baseball coach and social studies teacher at the Commerce Charter Township school was fired after posting a tweet that read “I’m done being silent. @realdonaldtrump is our president. Don’t @ me.” The Washington Beacon reported that Kucera was contacted by the human resources department on July 10 to meet with the principal and the district's superintendent.

Kucera told the Beacon he was given two options: be fired or resign.

Many, many teachers, even when I was in school, were and are pretty open about their liberal political positions. A teacher tweeting support for Obama during his administration would have received no backlash and certainly wouldn't have been fired. If they were, their union would back them up. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Kucera has been made an example, a warning to other teachers. You can be conservative privately, at least for now, but you can't speak openly of your support for the duly elected President of the United States, even in a state he carried. This same pattern is true in many industries. It is without question that I couldn't have the social media presence I currently have if I were still in the corporate world. Even the stuff I used to post on my old blog would get me in trouble today because of my position of sexual degeneracy and gender roles.

That brings me to my main point.

In spite of the rhetoric you hear all day to the contrary, there really isn't a group in America that is in a worse position for the future than young White heterosexual men. The future is pretty grim for this group. While young White men built this country and are responsible for essentially everything that has made it the greatest nation on earth, that same group now finds itself reviled and blamed for every human ill. Looking just a few years down the road and it looks even worse.

Young White men will face barriers and discrimination in most categories of employment, especially in corporate office and government jobs. In dangerous, dirty, outdoor jobs they should be fine as the people clamoring for "equality" don't seem to mind letting White guys do the welding and plumbing. The same will be true for educational opportunities, even more than is true currently. In America today, a nation founded by and built by White men, a young White man who desires to go to a college or university, or worse who seeks to expand his education with a professional degree in medicine or law, must exceed by a wide margin "disadvantaged minority" students or he will lose his spot to someone less intelligent and less accomplished than he is, just so the school can have a higher percentage on the various metrics that measure "diversity". Having the best students is secondary to being able to pepper your website with pictures of mestizo guys and black women in hijabs.

Prospects for marriage and family aren't much better. Young White women are a damn mess. Compared to White girls when I was young, they are neurotic and angry all the time, most of them seem to have had a slew of sexual partners and very few of them seem like suitable wives.

So what should young White men be doing right now?

First and foremost, be realistic. The world your parents grew up in and that you can glimpse from old TV shows is gone. It won't be coming back anytime soon, not without a lot of bloodshed. Trying to follow the tried and true path of days gone by is foolish and futile.

Just as important: disengage from the system. Find ways to earn a living and have enough to raise a family without getting a W-2 at the end of the year. Or at least find a career in a field where political correctness hasn't turned it into a nightmare. Skilled trades are still the best bet along with self-employment in a field where you won't lose business for your political views.

If you get into some corporate B.S. job, you will get handcuffed by the benefits and regular paycheck. It is tempting to do that but it ends up muzzling you and placing you at the mercy of the harpies in H.R.

A young White guy is not in a position to work within the system because the system hates them and would just prefer they quietly die somewhere in a carbon neutral way. We do them a disservice by pushing them into the system where they will either be silenced to keep their job or end up a pariah and fired for speaking their mind.

Is that fair? Of course not but we are way past the point of what is fair or unfair. We are dealing with what is reality and what is fantasy.

Encourage the young White men in your circle of influence to sidestep the system, the corporate meat grinder that crushes their spirit and silences their voices. You can make a living without the 9-5 cubicle gig and what is more, it tends to be a far more satisfying life.

Bemoaning the present can be cathartic but what we really need is an eye for the future. Preparing young men for that future now will save them a lot of trouble in the future.

Another Good Month For Freedom

The initial reports are out and it looks like July was yet another banner month for firearms sales.

July becomes 5th straight month to set gun sales record; sales up 133% over July 2019

Demand is soaring and inventory levels are still under incredible pressure even for distributors. If you are in the market for a .22 pistol (not a Glock or Taurus) or a really super expensive 9mm, you are in luck. More standard 9mm handguns? Forget about it. Bolt action rifles in common hunting calibers are available, as are pump shotguns with limited capacity and 28" barrels but anything in the AR/AK world or in a tactical/home-defense shotgun are out of stock and have been for months.

Ammunition is still scarce and the prices keep climbing with no end in sight. Generally prices on ammoseek for 5.56mm hover right at or above $.50/round and .223 is actually worse. You can get right now on ammoseek steel case .223 for $.40/round from a couple of places but after that the steel (non-reloadable) .223 is over $.50/round. 9mm is $.45/round and goes up from there. .45 is a little cheaper but not by much and ironically the once more expensive 10mm is generally cheaper than .45. Go figure.

Day by day middle America is quietly arming up, stocking up on ammo and I assume preparing otherwise for the worst. It is a mobilization without the fanfare of World War II but the firepower at the individual level is incredible. What is more, the mental shift is palpable. Due to the nature of our business, I interact with gun buyers all the time and all of them are saying the same thing: things are getting hairy and they are preparing for what needs to be done.

The mental preparation is perhaps even more important than the gear or the material right now and as we get closer to the election, just 13 weeks away, you can feel the attitudes shifting.

While the Left prepares for a victory lap and then the pogroms to punish heritage Americans for our disobedience, those same heritage Americans are preparing for active resistance. Maybe only 10% stand up at first but that still translates to millions of heavily armed, angry Americans with nothing much to lose.

The Left Keeps Putting Their Cards On The Table

The pieces are already moving on the Left in anticipation of a massive electoral victory in a few months. In my prior post, Pre-Pogrom Planning, we looked at things like eliminating the filibuster so a simple majority in the Senate can start slamming through legislation. Barack Obama, in what was unseemly and gross even by his low standard, used the funeral of John Lewis to make a political speech where he demanded we grant statehood to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico while also calling for the end of the Senate filibuster, calling it a "Jim Crow relic". Democrats have long pushed for statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C., knowing that both would be an automatic and permanent additional four Democrats in the Senate. In 2016 D.C. voted for Hilary Clinton by a whopping 86.8%, with Hilary receiving 90.9% of the vote to Trump's 4.1%. Third party and write-in candidates got over 5% of the vote. According to Wikipedia: "The District of Columbia has voted for the Democratic ticket in every election since voters were allowed to participate in 1964." Puerto Rico would be just as reliably leftist.

Without the filibuster, it is likely that statehood for D.C. and Puerto Rico would become a reality, requiting a new flag with 52 stars, although it is just as likely that Congress would abolish the existing flag entirely as "racist" and replace it with a flag of the black power fist or something else equally asinine. The additional four Democrat Senators would give cover for swing state Democrats to publicly oppose the more loony legislation while still having enough votes to pass almost anything.

Meanwhile, just last week, Justice Crypt Thing aka Ruth Bader Ginsburg announced that her cancer had returned and she was undergoing chemotherapy. What was interesting was that she had waited four months to announce this. Ginsburg is 87 years old, an age when a normal person would have retired. The announcement that RBG was once again battling a serious illness raised the specter of her dying or having to leave the court, giving Trump the opportunity to nominate his third Supreme Court justice and more importantly shifting the Court to the right significantly. Replacing RBG with someone like Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative jurist with seven children, would be enormous.

Compounding the hysteria from the Left over the thought of RBG being replaced is the ghost of Merrick Garland's nomination. The liberal Garland was nominated in 2016 by Barack Obama to replace conservative legal giant Antonin Scalia but the Senate, controlled by Republicans, refused to give him a hearing, ostensibly because Obama was in his lame duck final year. Eventually Trump replaced Scalia with Gorsuch, maintaining the ideological balance. Democrats have been fuming about it ever since, which I get but this is politics and no one plays fair.

Should RBG finally run out of the blood of virgins and be unable to sustain her life, Trump would of course nominate someone immediately and the Left will go berserk. If you thought the Kavanaugh hearings were bad, you ain't seen nothing. I would fully expect actual violence from the Left to prevent the vacancy from being filled, and by that I mean armed protesters shooting their way into the Capitol. That is not an exaggeration.

The announcement that RBG was battling cancer yet again was carefully choreographed as was the Democrats response, threatening what I have been expecting them to do anyway: adding seats to the Supreme Court.

Democrats warn GOP: Don't fill a Supreme Court vacancy in 2020 or we'll retaliate

The retaliation in question would be adding seats to the Supreme Court, which is technically legal. Hilary's VP nominee, Tim Kaine, a "moderate" was chosen to be the one delivering the message:

Kaine, the party's last vice presidential nominee and a lawmaker with a reputation as an institutionalist, said confirming a nominee of President Donald Trump this year could compel Democrats to consider adding seats to the high court.

"If they show that they're unwilling to respect precedent, rules and history, then they can't feign surprise when others talk about using a statutory option that we have that's fully constitutional in our availability," he said. "I don't want to do that. But if they act in such a way, they may push it to an inevitability. So they need to be careful about that."

That is the nice part, the "we are just being reasonable but if you replace RBG we can't be held responsible for what happens" rhetoric. It is also bullshit.

Just to be clear, this is the plan anyway. What Democrats are planning for next year when Biden (or more likely his VP) is in office is going to violate the Constitution in all sorts of ways, especially free speech, firearms ownership and due process. To smooth the way, the Democrats need a rock solid and predictable SCOTUS with enough votes to run roughshod over the conservative members.

Right now there are 9 Supreme Court justices and that fixed number has been the same since right after the Civil War. Having a fixed number means that each seat is critical and the balance has often been 5-4 with someone like Anthony Kennedy and now John Roberts serving as the swing vote. Add six or eight seats to the SCOTUS and pack them with far left activists alongside the existing leftist judges and the Left essentially creates an unaccountable court full of far left ideologues who can essentially write laws at will with no one to stop them. If the SCOTUS can make gay "marriage" the law of the land by fiat and create a "right" to abortion out of thin air, there is nothing the court can't do. A complete gun ban for all firearms? Constitutional. Banning political "hate speech"? Constitutional. Creating a separate and not even close to equal legal system for non-Whites? Constitutional.

Again, this is already the plan. The Democrats are just setting the stage to do it. From the same article:

In a sweeping statement of intent, the Democratic National Committee is poised to add language to the party's 2020 platform endorsing "structural court reforms to increase transparency and accountability."

The draft language, reviewed by NBC News and expected to be approved later this month, denounces Republicans as having "packed our federal courts with unqualified, partisan judges who consistently rule for corporations, the wealthy, and Republican interests" and for "blocking a Democratic president from appointing a justice to the Supreme Court."

Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, said she has been "talking with people who have different ideas about what we can do — including adding to the court, including having certain circuit court judges cycle in and other ideas" like term limits.

Term limiting circuit judges would start the process of getting rid of Trump's appointments who otherwise would serve for life. More...

Some progressive activists have been pressuring Democrats for months to expand the Supreme Court if they regain power, in retaliation for the GOP blockade of Obama nominee Merrick Garland in 2016. The push has been led by Demand Justice, a pressure group founded by Brian Fallon, a former aide to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

"I think we have sufficient grounds to pursue structural reform just based on the events of 2016," Fallon said. "If Republicans compound that sin with an egregious violation of norms in a seat that was held by a liberal justice, I think that we will gain new allies very quickly."

Notice the religious language. Not holding hearings for Merrick Garland was a "sin" and replacing RBG with a conservative would be an even worse "sin" because it would threaten the unholy sacrament of abortion. This Fallon guy is not out here on a limb on his own, he used to work for Hillary and Chuck Schumer so he is clearly a vetted and approved mouthpiece. As is usually the case in today's "journalism", the really juicy bit is at the end where most people won't bother reading (emphasis in red mine)....

Hirono promised that there would be a "hue and cry" if Republicans were to move to fill a vacancy this year — and she suggested she's sympathetic to the progressive push to restructure the judiciary even if that doesn't happen.

"Regardless of whether they try to do it or not, there have already been discussions about what we can do with our courts to make them much more balanced in many ways," Hirono said. "Because the majority of the judges are white, male, young, with a particular orientation, ideological orientation."

Well we can't have too many White males on our courts, even though White men were responsible for creating this entire system in the first place. If you are a White guy, do you have any confidence at all that the legal and governmental systems in America will treat you fairly in the coming years? If you do, you are a fool.

Should Biden win, expect to see a push for massive changes to the courts before the end of next year. Your inalienable rights aren't going to be worth the paper they are printed on. The only "rights" you will have are what the leftist courts say they are and those "rights" will be subject to change at will. Free speech, due process, equality under the law, the right to keep and bear arms and self defense. Those are going to be gone in the blink of an eye.

Like I said, the timing of the announcement about RBG's cancer seemed odd to me. In fact, it seems to me that they are kind of hoping Trump gets to replace Ginsburg so they have a more obvious pretext to "fix" what he has done. If the polls continue to indicate Trump losing and if the Dems feel confident they can get sufficient fraudulent votes, I would not be surprised to see RBG resign before the election. Either Trump manages to replace her, a temporary victory that would be immediately overturned by a new, larger SCOTUS, or more likely enough Republican Senators refuse to confirm his nominee that the seat remains open until 2021, something that seems likely based on past history and statements by some of the squishier Republican Senators.

All of the pretense and subterfuge is gone. The Left is smelling a big win and they are laying their cards on the table.

Meanwhile our glorious America First leader Donald Trump is....tweeting about athletes kneeling during the National Anthem.

That certainly seems like a critical issue 13 weeks before the election.

I'll ask it again: Is Trump Trying To Throw The Election?

Stuff You Can't Make Up

Even as jaded as I am in 2020, stories like this keep startling me.

A 26 year old man named Jeramie Shorter was at a funeral for his son Jermier, an 8 year old boy who died after a five year fight against cancer. The man is burying his 8 year old son but that doesn't stop 24 year old Nuemonei Tre Vonne Laster from going to the funeral and shooting Jeramie Shorter, killing him.

Even if there was someone I felt was in need of killing, the idea of gunning him down at the funeral of his little boy is unimaginable. Apparently Mr. Laster thought this was a good place to shoot him, maybe because his guard would be down. Mr. Laster is also clearly a genius, because as he drove away from the scene of the murder he was spotted because the car he was driving didn't have license plates, something sure to attract the attention of police. He was later caught on foot after trying to throw the gun over a fence. Obviously Mr. Laster is a criminal mastermind.

The story was awful enough there but then as I read a little further, I came across some additional information. Keep in mind that the deceased, Jeramie Shorter, is 26 years old.

Jeremy Shorter was remembered by family and friends with a balloon release Sunday evening.

Jamie Delaney Shorter is Jeremy’s father and he said he will be strong for the 17 children his son left behind.

Doing the math here, assuming that the child he buried was number 18, and also assuming he only was fathering children as an adult which is unlikely, that would work out to 2.25 children fathered (presumably out of wedlock) every year of his adult life. Even if he started to impregnate girls at 16, that is still 1.8 kids per year and that 18 kids figure might be even higher, those are just the kids he knew about or claimed.

The state of the black community is an absolute train-wreck and the further we get from slavery and Jim Crow and all of the other excuses put forth, the worse it gets. It bears repeating that one of the surest guarantees of a life of poverty is having a child out of wedlock but here is Mr. Shorter spreading his genetic material all over Iowa. No word as to how many mothers are represented by the 18 children he fathered but it is safe to assume at least half a dozen and probably more.

For all of the endless yammering about "black lives matter", the truth is that the Marxist organizers behind bLM are openly seeking to destroy the traditional family and replace it with the state. Since many of the top voices in bLM are Marxists, homosexuals or both, this makes sense.

What the black community desperately needs is not "police reform", it is strong, intact black families. Without that we will end up with even higher rates of out of wedlock births, more poverty and even more violent crime. The very same movement that claims to care about "black lives" is actively seeking to undermine the one thing that could help stop the bloodshed in the black community.

Trying to preserve black lives while supporting an anti-family organization is like trying to extinguish a fire by spraying it with gasoline but pointing that out apparently makes me racist.

It is both depressing and incredibly freeing watching mainstream "conservative" outlets falling one after the other.

Apparently it is now "conservative" to pander to delusions and reinforce anti-police stereotypes. The reason they are angry is that they are being lied to about the police. If I was convinced that the cops were out to get me all the time no matter what I do, I would be angry too, at least until someone showed me that it wasn't true.

Sure there are cops that are "racist", White cops "racist" against blacks, black cops "racist" towards Whites, Asian cops "racist" toward mestizos. Cops are people and people are imperfect. As a whole there seems to be little actual evidence to support the claim that cops are especially "racist" toward blacks, but cops are especially focused on people who break the law. It is kind of their job. Break the law a lot, get tangled up with the cops a lot. That is why blacks have so many interactions with cops and Koreans don't.

What "conservatives" should be focused on are the issues that lead to cops and blacks interacting negatively so often. Writing those sorts of articles gets you labelled a "White supremacist" and dis-invited from the best cocktail parties. Pandering to the victim-hood pathology of blacks gets you noticed by the right sort of people.

"Conservatism" keeps losing because it is packed full of people like the author of this piece. That has made it all the easier to simply abandon "conservatism" as a failed political ideology like libertarianism.

When you adopt a dissident mindset, you start to see the political world for what it is and recognize your actual place in it and that opens up your mind to all sorts of possibilities. You should try it, you might like it.

Life Is Fatal

Death and taxes. Nothing else in life is as guaranteed. We all came into this world the same way and we are all going out the same way. As it says on the masthead of Zerohedge, on a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

People are pretty fragile when you think about it. We are a bag of fluid and squishy parts held together by bones that can break and sealed in by a very thin layer of skin that is easily sliced or punctured. Getting stabbed by a knife, being shot even by a smaller caliber bullet, a sharp blow to the head, all can kill you. We are prone to diseases and our own body killing us with cancer. There are millions of tiny processes happening all the time to keep us alive, cells dying and being replaced, food being turned into energy. Our lungs have to breathe in fresh air and expel old air constantly or we die. Our heart has to beat over and over dozens of times per minute from the time we are in born, and if it stops for just a few minutes we die.The blood must be filtered or it gets toxic and we die. If we eat too little, we die. If we eat too much? We die.

That is before we even go outside.

Outside is dangerous. In many parts of the world the outside is full of stuff that can kill you, poisonous plants and reptiles, carnivorous animals, tornadoes, lightning, branches falling on your head. It can get too hot or it can get too cold. Generally it is rarely "just right". Ticks carrying Lyme disease, fire ants, rabid raccoons, bodies of water to drown in.

In spite of the danger, we still have to go outside to go to work or the grocery store or to shovel snow. Life is a series of calculated risks and all of our choices have some sort of downside. In 2018 alone, over 36,000 people died in automobile accidents. That is around 98 people every single day or four per hour. That is just auto accidents, around 170,000 people die from some sort of accident every year. We still drive our cars everywhere, even though it is very dangerous.

Why do we willingly do something that kills 36,000 people per year? Because it is a calculated risk. We could all be Amish and take a horse and buggy I suppose but that requires going a lot slower and lots of Amish spend lots of time in cars because it is just impractical to take a horse everywhere. Anyway, Amish get killed on the road all the time or get kicked in the chest by their horse and die.

Most of us are not going to walk everywhere because it is just too time consuming, so we hop in the car to go almost any place we need to go. We buckle up most of the time, are relatively careful as we drive, our cars are designed with seatbelts and airbags and a frame to protect us in case of a crash. Even with all of that, we drive too fast and aggressively, we look at our phones even though it is illegal in much of the country, we eat while we drive or fiddle with the radio. As a result, 36 thousand people die in car crashes every year.

It is a trade-off for modern life. Hundreds of millions of us get where we need to go and 36,000 of us at some point each year never make it to their destination. We understand it and accept it, even though we don't often talk about it.

To be human means to take risks.

That brings me to our current health crisis: the Chinese coronavirus.

As summer winds down, it is fast approaching back to school time and of course this is causing all sorts of angst. The hysteria is on overload because schools mean children and as we all know, I believe the children are our future....

Yep, it is always all about the children and not at all about the teachers not wanting to go back to class while collecting their normal salary and getting a year closer to retirement.

It is without much dispute that the coronavirus is a serious illness but it is also without credible dispute that it's level of seriousness varies widely based on a number of factors.

Someone who is older, or has significant pre-existing health issues or is older and obese should certainly be concerned about Covid-19 and should take reasonable precautions. Like I said, life is full of risks but you can mitigate those risks by wearing a seat belt, not kicking rattlesnakes and staying out of Detroit.

Schools are full of kids ages 5 to 18 years old who are not really in much danger from coronavirus as a whole. More on that in a moment. There are also teachers, administrators, staff and police in "diverse" school districts. For the most part they are under 60 years of age and mostly not in the high risk categories either.

What about their grandparents, can't they catch the 'rona from school kids? As far as I can tell, there are few or more likely no documented cases of school aged kids transmitting coronavirus to someone older and as mentioned previously, older and at risk people should take sensible precautions like proper masks worn properly, social distancing, washing their hands, etc.

There was an interesting Twitter exchange over the weekend. Alex Berenson, a guy I follow, replied to a comment from a Becky Quick, a CNBC TV host who was arguing that we shouldn't reopen schools.

A one in one million chance of dying isn't the same as zero chance of dying but it is pretty close. Your kid has a much higher chance of dying at school from a bunch of other causes than coronavirus. They also are at a much higher risk of being molested or assaulted by a teacher or another student than they are of dying of coronavirus but no one wants to close schools for that.

Becky wasn't going to stand for that so she retorted something that was very informative....

I see, so we should consider not sending kids back to school because Becky's daughter has a condition that puts her in a higher risk category. Alex responded...

It degenerated a bit from there but his point is valid. If Becky's daughter really does have some sort of mitigating condition that makes her more susceptible to the coronavirus, she might have to figure something out and I would hope the school would accommodate her. I am going on a limb and assuming her daughter isn't at a public school anyway.

Do we need to take reasonable precautions? Of course, that is just sensible, and it is why schools have smoke detectors and sprinklers and the doors open outward. But should schools be shut down because a handful of kids might be at higher risk of the Chinese coronavirus? Absolutely not.

This also isn't a single question where there is no downside to not sending students back to school. Few people ask: What are the consequences of not sending kids back to school?

Increased isolation for an already overly isolated population of school aged kids. Losing months of classroom instruction that can't be made up. Increased stress on students and parents. Interruptions of extra-curricular activities. Lost sports seasons.

Those costs are hard to quantify but they are real.

Life is a risky proposition that is going to end in death. Just getting out of bed carries some risks and everything you do beyond that just adds to the risk level. Going outside, getting in a car, eating, swimming, riding a bike, working at your job. Nothing is without risk.

What we have always done is weigh the risks and find ways to mitigate the worst of them. What we haven't done is shut down an entire nation and resorted to cowering in our homes.

There has never been a generation of kids who needs to get out of the house and back into public more than this generation but a small number of people are frightening a lot of us into staying locked behind closed doors.

If kids go back to school, will many of them get the coronavirus? Almost certainly. Will at least a few die as a result of being infected? Probably. Does that mean that millions of school kids should be locked at home until a vaccine is found? Absolutely not.

Life is risky and that is what makes it interesting.

Welcome To August 2020

Today is the first day of August 2020 and if we know anything about 2020 we know it has been a slowly moving shitshow that has gotten worse every month.

As of August 1st we are slightly over three months until the election, with just 95 days remaining.

As awful as this year has been, it is about to get worse.

Buckle up and welcome to Thunderdome.

This should help with the rising crime issues in Seattle.

Hey, if these people are so eager to see their city burn, let's light this mother up.

A Pretty Hot Take From Mitt Romney

Our old friend Mitt Romney, a "Republican" who is as reflexively opposed to anything Trump says or does as any liberal or Bill Kristol (but I repeat myself), is having a conniption because of an announced draw-down of U.S. troops from Germany.

According to our local news, the plan includes withdrawing 12,000 troops. Almost half will stay in Europe.

Defense officials say the U.S. will pull 12,000 troops from Germany, bringing 6,400 home and shifting 5,600 to other countries in Europe, including Italy and Belgium. The plan will cost billions of dollars and take years to complete. It’s been spurred on by President Donald Trump’s demand to withdraw troops from Germany, at least in part due to its failure to spend enough on defense. Defense Secretary Mark Esper says the moves promote larger strategic goals to deter Russia, reassure European allies and shift forces further east. The plan leaves 24,000 troops in Germany.

So to recap. Of the 12,000 troops, 5,600 will stay in Europe. This will leave only 24,000 American troops, paid for by the tax-payers of the United States, to defend Germany against those wiley Russians.

The replies to Romney are full of screeching liberals who are against this move because it was ordered by Orange Man Bad.

I am old enough to remember when liberals were anti-war, thought the threat of Russia was overblown and were suspicious of the military-industrial complex. That also means I am old enough to remember that these same liberals hated Mitt Romney when he ran again Obama and thought he was a Nazi or something.

Apparently Germany is too poor to pay for her own defense. Let's take a look....

Oh, Germany has the fourth highest GDP in the world. What about per person?

Oh again. Maybe the Germans can afford to pay something for their own defense, seeing as how our troops have been there since 1945 and the Berlin Wall fell almost 30 years ago.

But come on, they might have money but what the heck do the Germans know about war?

Never mind.

Once again, thanks to the people of Utah for electing that turncoat imbecile Romney to the U.S. Senate.

The Fox And The Scorpion

This is a short video from Vertigo Politix, now on a semi-permanent sabbatical, but it is also one of their most powerful videos. The story of the fox and the scorpion is an old one but it has relevance for today....

Importing people who know nothing but how to destroy and then expecting them to maintain what we have built is the height of foolishness. I don't really blame those who are invading our nation and stripping it bare like locust. It is in their nature.

Those who know this is the case and clamor to bring them here anyway, the people who would rather rule over ruins than be an average person in paradise? I have nothing but revulsion and hatred for them.

We know more about who they are each day as they grow bold and let the curtain slip. May their hubris be their doom.

But Muh Second Amendment And Muh Supreme Court!

Since Ruth Bader Ginsburg seems to be sustained by arcane dark magic rituals, it looks like the Supreme Court is going to stay as is for the rest of the election season. Assuming Biden wins, it is likely that RBG will retire shortly after he takes office and that his handlers will choose someone even farther to the left to replace her.

At the same time, I have detailed the Biden gun control plan and it is extensive: The Future Of Gun Ownership (Or Lack Thereof). A lot of Fudds reasonable gun owners think that a Biden administration will be like the Obama administration and very little gun control will get passed. They all seem to think that Obama was the first ever Democrat to be President and forget that under Clinton the sweeping "assault weapons ban" was passed and for ten years it was about impossible to buy the firearms many of us take for granted.

Besides they say, the 2nd Amendment is secure. The Supreme Court will save us!

Think again.

The SCOTUS recently declined to take up a pile of beneficial cases for the 2nd Amendment and now we know why....

Conservative Justices Declined to Take Up Second Amendment Case after Roberts Signaled He Would Side with Liberals: Report

The conservative wing of the Supreme Court reportedly declined to take up a case dealing with Second Amendment rights after Chief Justice John Roberts indicated that he would vote with the court’s liberal justices.

In June, the justices rejected petitions from 10 challenges relating to state restrictions on firearms after Roberts signaled he would not vote with them, depriving the court’s conservatives of the fifth vote needed to overturn gun regulations, CNN reported Monday.

Roberts is proving to be as unreliable as....well, as most justices nominated by Republicans.

Unless we catch a break and RBG dies in the next few months (fingers crossed), we are looking at a court that is hostile to personal firearms ownership and looks to get worse. Keep in mind that reliably conservative justice Clarence Thomas has been on the court for 28 years and is 72 years old.

The supreme court isn't going to save your gun rights. As I keep saying, there is a good chance that the guns you have on December 31st are all you are ever going to have.

Plan and budget accordingly.

Will Democrats Become The New Center-Right Party?

I know that sounds crazy but hear me out.

We have not always had Republicans versus Democrats in America. There are lots of now extinct political parties that once had significant political clout. No one alive today has voted in the Whig Party primary, but a number of significant American political leaders and Presidents were Whigs.

It wasn't that long ago that the Democrats were the party of working class Whites, were supportive of segregation and opposed to "civil rights" and were mostly populist in nature. As the South shifted to Republicans, at the same time Democrats moved to the political Left, becoming more concerned with "social justice" and shifted away from unions and working class Whites and toward the super wealthy and the non-white vote. While the south was once Yellow Dog Democrat territory (I'd vote for a yellow dog if he ran as a Democrat), for the last couple of decades especially it has been solidly Republican. That is now changing as the former states of the Confederacy become less White and more left-wing politically. Net result, the Democrats today are completely different from the Democrats 50 years ago.

The Republican Party today is inextricably linked with White people, especially more suburban and rural Whites, religious Whites and gun owners. As that population shrinks, the Republican party is going to collapse. There isn't a Plan B and as I wrote about yesterday, several large and once reliable Republican states like Texas, Florida and North Carolina are about to become permanently blue and that means the end of the GOP as a national political force. Inertia and nostalgia will keep the Republican Party around for a while but increasingly it will be irrelevant.

What this means for the American political scene is a single-party rule with Democrats in more or less permanent control over national politics. However, even with complete national control, there will still be plenty of states and Congressional districts that will keep electing Republicans. This is an important map to consider:

Assuming Joe Biden wins, it will be on the strength of overwhelming winning margins in a few densely populated areas, mostly urban areas, areas with large concentrations of non-Whites and college towns like Madison, Wisconsin. You can drive in multiple routes from one coast to the other and never cross a congressional district Hillary Clinton won. If I avoid Chicago, I could drive 30 hours almost straight West through nothing but Trump counties. Hell, I have to drive almost two hours to get to a congressional district that Hillary carried.

What does that mean for the remnants of the Republican party? People become politicians for all sorts of reasons but they stay politicians because of the power and influence. Republican politicians in a House with a 275 seat Democrat majority or in the Senate with a 60 seat Democrat majority have no power, especially once the filibuster is eliminated. A politician who can't influence legislation is useless to lobbyists so the K Street money is going to dry up in a hurry. I expect to see a lot of "moderate" Republicans starting to switch parties.

Meanwhile in the Democrat party....

Behind the scenes, Pelosi and Schumer have to be feeling pretty good right now. They are a less than six months away from seeing a senile puppet sworn in as President and likely also controlling both the House and the Senate. With Chief Justice John Roberts moving further left with each passing day, things are looking good for their agenda. As the 2020 census is presented to the government, it is likely that we will see a huge shift in Congressional seats out of Republican states and into Democrat states like California or places like Texas where the new districts will be majority mestizo. See this report from CIS on the likely impact of the census: The Impact of Legal and Illegal Immigration on the Apportionment of Seats in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020 Scary stuff.

But, as is so often the case politically, being the opposition is a lot easier than being in power.

The Democrats are united now because they have all of their energy and attention focused on Orange Man Bad. When he is out of office and Republicans are cast into political outer darkness, they won't be able to use Trump as their villain and then we will see exposed the truth behind the scenes. That truth is that the Democrats are really two political parties crammed into one.

One party is the Pelosi/Schumer wing, where most of the Democrat structural leadership dwells. They are the party of big business, homosexuals and affluent liberal White women. The big players in the Democrat party are owned by big business, as I wrote last June. Here are two screenshots from that post....

Schumer stands to become the Senate Majority Leader in January and Ron Wyden will likely be the new Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, a position he held until the Dems lost control of the Senate. These are the sort of Democrat you have in one of the sub-parties. Do you suppose they are going to "go after Wall Street"? Please. They want a nice, gentle modified socialist state where corporations and the top 1% keep making more and more money and the average schlep is bribed with government gibs into keeping his mouth shut. Their ideal is a technocratic oligarchy with lots of government employees and private schools for the children of those government employees.

The other half of the party?

This is the where "The Squad" lives and their vision is far more radical. People like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley have a very different and far more radical vision for America. Pelosi and Schumer want to perpetuate the current system, just with them in control, but The Squad, the Bernie-bro acolytes of Bernie Sanders, black Lives Matter and antifa want to burn the system to the ground and recreate it in their own demented vision. The list of examples is too numerous to detail but here is a recent one:

Oh, that makes perfect sense. If you no longer have rent or mortgages, where are people going to live? I suppose you end up with everyone getting "free" housing and we know what you get from "safe affordable housing". In fact we have lots of examples from the days of the Soviet Union and the glorious worker's life behind the Iron Curtain....

What The Squad wants requires tearing down the entire economic system, the very system that provides a decent standard of living for the vast majority of Americans. Schumer and Pelosi don't want this because they are super wealthy and powerful and the vision of the Squad coming to life would threaten their cushy existence.

The two halves of the Democrat party are in an awkward and uncomfortable truce for now but there is still some conflict.

This was on display when busty tavern wench Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez staged a coup in her district and unseated 10 term Democrat Joe Crowley. Crowley was Chair of the House Democratic Caucus when he was unseated, a very prominent and powerful position but he overlooked AOC and lost his seat. Lots of "yass kween" women and thirsty young soyboy liberals voted for her, and I am sure the fellas were impressed by her Econ degree and not this....

AOC is dumb as a bag of hammers but she is convinced she is like totally super smart and stuff and I am sure that is reinforced by years of guys telling her she is smart to get in her pants. A dumb person absolutely certain that they are smart is a dangerous beast indeed and although she is a Grade A bimbo, even a dingbat in Congress gets to vote on laws that impact your life.

When Trump is gone and Democrat realize they have complete control of the government, with no threat from Republicans ever getting back into power, what will that mean?

Civil war in the ranks of the Democrats as the old guard tries to keep the more radical members in line.

There have always been a core group of crazy leftists in the Democratic party but the loons think they are going to run the asylum. With mestizo voters becoming more and more prominent in the Democrat party, this will change the dynamics dramatically. Blacks used to be the core minority voting block in the Democratic electorate but they would generally show up to vote and then let the Dems do whatever they wanted. The mestizos are far more radical and vocal. They are also eclipsing blacks in the party. We saw in the primaries that mestizo voters were more likely to support Bernie while blacks voted for the more moderate Biden.

There are 435 Representatives in the House. Let's say that Democrat have 235 and Republicans have 200. Of the 235 Democrat seats, let's say 100 are from the more radical wing of the party. That leaves Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a pickle. She can pass crazy, far left legislation that The Squad will vote for but that will anger the corporate donor base. Or she can work with the neutered Republican minority, something far more palatable once Trump is gone. The Senate tends to be more "conservative" in the sense of being representative of entire states and since every state, no matter the population, gets two Senators, it is reasonable to assume that the Senate will be a tougher nut to crack for really radical legislation but many Republicans in the new order will be glad to vote for liberal "bi-partisan" legislation that doesn't go too far.

This will create a tug-of-war in the middle, a middle which will have shifted dramatically to the left of course. It will be easier for Nancy Pelosi to peel off a few dozen "moderate" Republicans, eager to pass some legislation and get back on the radar of K Street, than it will be to get The Squad on board with incremental steps.

People like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib don't understand the subtleties of American government. They are from cultures run by warlords so not getting everything you want as soon as you want seems very frustrating to them. If someone doesn't do what you say, you machine gun their entire family and perhaps you eat them. Getting stymied infuriates them.

What I can see happening are the more radical members of the Democrats, frustrated by the pace of "progress" leaving the Democrats and forming their own leftist party under the banner of the Democratic Socialists or some other nonsensical name. This would work in the House where the districts are smaller but it would be harder at the Senate level although there are two far-left Senators who are independents right now, Angus King of Maine and of course Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

With the remaining center mass of the Democrats unable to pass legislation on their own, they will be forced to either submit to the incessant demands of the far left or bringing in Republicans to pass "liberal but not as crazy" legislation. I expect the latter to be more common. The more a Republican votes with the Pelosi wing, and as demographic change hits more congressional districts, the number of Republicans switching to the Democrats for pragmatic rather than ideological reasons will accelerate. Again, a Congressman in the party permanently out of power has very little appeal to donors.

Meanwhile, as more and more districts become majority black and mestizo, I can see additional radical Congressmen moving to a Democratic Socialist party. As the Democrats absorb more moderate Republicans, at some point the GOP will functionally cease to exist, leaving the dominant Democrats in the "middle" with Democratic socialists to their left and the tattered and impotent remnants of the Republican party in districts like mine to their right.

The situation would be interesting, with a mono-party in the middle and two fractious secondary parties on either side. By interesting I mean "interesting to political junkies" but a nightmare in the real world. Of course when I say "center-right", that is very different from what that term would have meant a decade or so ago when someone like George "compassionate conservatism" Bush was considered center-right. In the new political order someone like Pelosi might be considered "center-right", compared to the radical Left wing. That ought to frighten anyone but that is what is coming.

The 2020s are going to be a decade of dramatic political shifts with the Left becoming ascendant in various forms and the Right being relegated to political dissidents or a modern day Quislings. The old, largely false, political dichotomy of The Democrats vs The Republicans is over and a new era will begin. For the first time in the 244 year history of the United States, regular White citizens are going to become primarily observers in the governance of America while groups that had no hand in creating America are going to take the wheel. What will happen then is speculation but I have my own theories about how that is going to end and it looks a lot like Thelma and Louise going over the cliff.

At least it won't be boring.
