The standard operating procedure for "antifa" is very well established. They congregate in large groups, clad in black to disguise their identity, use homemade weapons to assault political enemies or just photojournalists, and then fade into their crowd. They do this only when they outnumber their opponents by a large margin and there is no danger of them being in a fair fight. When a more or less equal fight breaks out, antifa is usually on the receiving end of a beatdown. Case in point last year, when a single noodle-armed, limp-wristed antifa fag took a swing with some kind of baton or bat at someone who was not a 5'5" Vietnamese homosexual. The result was delicious:
What you don't see from this gif but you do in many others is that when the guy goes to pick up the weapon the antifa dude dropped, that chick tries to kick him and he refrains from punching her out, because we don't hit girls. I assume the guy that got knocked out has never been in a fight and wasn't expecting to have to take someone on one on one when he left home this morning with his freshly laundered black anarchist suit, courtesy of his mom.
No surprise then that antifa only shows up when they are numerically superior, preferably somewhere with a sympathetic political establishment and demoralized, ineffective police force (Portland).
While most antifa are drooling, gibbering wannbe thugs incapable of forming a coherent sentence, there are obviously some on the Left who realize that they have a problem. In an evenly divided country, you have 60-100 million people on the political right who oppose everything antifa and their neo-Bolshevik thought-leaders stand for. Those tens of millions of people own the overwhelming majority of this nation's hundreds of millions of privately owned firearms. Moreover, we know how to use them, practice regularly and can put a lot of lead in the air in a reasonably accurate manner.
So just a day after yet another incident of one-sided violence from the Left, we have Kim Kelly writing at Vox about the need for leftists to start arming themselves. First, this Kim Kelly person (which may or may not be a pseudonym) describes himself/herself as:
Yes, you read that right. A "labor columnist" for Teen Vogue. "In this edition, some cool tips for 12 year olds looking to experiment with anal sex and labor organizing for lemonade stands!". What the actual.....
Anyway, the article is currently titled: I’m a left-wing anarchist. Guns aren’t just for right-wingers.
Originally the title was: I’m a left-wing anarchist. It's time to reclaim guns from the right.
I am not sure which title is more cringe. Let's call it a tie. You know you are in for a treat when you see the stock photo Vox used for the article:
Well, that puts the John Wick arsenal or the various gun rooms from Commando to shame!
Moving from left to right, we have what appears to be an antique bolt-action rifle followed by an antique shotgun and then a single shot shotgun. Next a generic semi-auto shotgun probably plugged to only hold three shells and an over-under double-barreled shotgun. A few more serious looking shotguns with synthetic stocks, maybe both semi-autos. A handful of old school shotguns that look like something you would see in a police cruiser. 30 years ago. Another semi-auto shotgun with what appears to be some pretty decent wood and engraving in the action but it probably weighs a ton. Finally a string of basic hunting rifles, probably 30-06 or .308. You know someone is serious about firearms when they google "guns" and use the first stock photo in the search results. The photo credits say this picture is from 2008 (?!) from The Gun Store in Las Vegas. A quick search of that store and the first photo that comes up is this one:
I'll take the Barrett .50, you can have one of the duck guns. Let's see how that goes. Back to the article itself. The author writes:
Right-wingers have held an unearned monopoly on gun culture for too long. Whether it’s in the halls of legislative power or in the comments under “gun bunny” photos on Instagram, there is a prevailing narrative that pegs guns and armed self-defense exclusively to Republicans, racist libertarians, and other generally Constitution-obsessed weirdos. It maintains that those on the left want to take away everyone’s guns and swathe the entire country in bubble wrap. But I’m an anarchist, and I call bullshit.
They aren't wrong about the gun bunnies. Later, the writer speaks adoringly of various violent leftist groups like antifa and the Black Panthers. While most normal Americans see the Black Panthers as a racist, violent group of Marxist revolutionaries, Kim sees them as noble freedom fighters. Kim does make a few reasonable statements like:
...but for me, a gun in the hands of someone I trust is a comforting sight, because I know the power it holds.
To be honest, the thought of a world in which the state and their running dogs are the only entities with access to firearms sends a shudder down my spine.
Although the use of the Commie term "running dogs" is a dead giveaway.
The contrast is pretty stark nevertheless. Most people like me who own guns are never, ever planning on using them unless forced to. We have guns to protect our family and the rule of law. Kim thinks leftists should buy guns to protect "marginalized communities". I guess he means "people of color", who generally are murdering each other in huge numbers or perhaps homosexuals who are so "marginalized" that we just had to suffer through a month of globohomo corporations shoving the celebration of degeneracy down our throats.
I don't think this will get much traction. The real intellectuals on the left, as opposed to labor columnists for Teen Vogue, don't see a need for guns because the government bureaucracy is in their pocket. Most leftists are pantywaists like Über-sissy Gersh Kuntzman who famously wrote a piece about shooting an AR-15 for the first time: What is it like to fire an AR-15? It’s horrifying, menacing and very very loud
The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.
Ahahahahahahahahaha! That never stops being funny.
So I am not concerned about leftists suddenly arming themselves. Virtually all of them are more dangerous to themselves than they are to me. But maybe, just maybe, realizing how outgunned they are will cause some of them to think twice about the path they are pushing this country down. I doubt it but hope springs eternal.
