Gee I Wonder If There Is A Connection?

I have written a couple times over the last week about the rising tide of black violence, specifically black on white violence (see: The Most Important Government Report You Will Never Hear About and More On Black Violence). Lots of people are noticing even if they aren't talking about it. I saw this story today and thought, hmm maybe more people than I thought are noticing.

1.4 million more Americans than last year have concealed carry permits, report says

Even as the topic of gun control continues to remain a focus in the Democratic 2020 presidential primary, more Americans than ever are believed to have obtained concealed carry permits.

In a report released this week, the Crime Prevention Research Center says there are now nearly 19 million Americans with permits to carry a concealed handgun – an increase of 1.4 million, or about 8 percent – from around this time last year.

While I haven't seen any statistics, I would bet that the incidents of unlawful use of firearms by people with concealed carry permits is much lower than certain other segments of the population. The fact that you never hear about it except in rare cases like the guy in Florida, Michael Drejka, where he was found guilty of manslaughter in a politically charged case. The fact that the Drejka case got so much attention is proof in itself of how rare it is for legal concealed carrying citizens to use their firearms unlawfully. When it does happen, it is newsworthy especially if the racial make-up of the situation is the "right" one. With around 19 million Americans licensed to carry concealed firearms, it is obviously not causing an increase in gun violence, while actual gun violence is accelerating in only some segments of the population.

As usual, the media is telling you the precise opposite of what is happening.
