First from Steve Sailer, quoting Pew Research:

Pew: "Science Knowledge Varies by Race and Ethnicity in U.S."

U.S. racial and ethnic groups vary significantly in their knowledge of science-related issues, according to a new Pew Research Center survey that quizzed Americans about subjects ranging from life and physical sciences to numeracy and chart reading.

About half of whites (48%) got at least nine of 11 questions correct. In comparison, much smaller shares of Hispanics (23%) and blacks (9%) correctly answered at least nine of the questions.

On average, whites got 7.6 questions correct while Hispanics got 5.1 and blacks 3.7. English-speaking Asians got an average of 7.0 correct answers, but it’s important to note the survey was only conducted in English and Spanish. (Asians are less likely than whites and blacks, but not Hispanics, to be proficient in English.)

Steve makes the following quip:

I’ve been following baseball stats since 1965 and social science statistics since 1972. In general, this is why cognitive statistics aren’t as interesting as baseball statistics. Sports statistics change over time and pop up surprises, but education related stats are quite repetitive.

The questions must have been pretty basic because most people are pretty ignorant. I have a hard time imagining a set of 11 science questions that around half of white people would get right.

The typical response to these findings is not, as you might think, to ask how to improve basic science literacy in blacks and Hispanics but instead to find fault with whites for knowing too much about science. Science is racist! Also food, time, breathing.

I follow DC McAllister on Twitter and recently she made a slightly crude but factually accurate comment about a homosexual guy. That is a no-no because the revolting, degrading mechanics of homosexual intercourse cannot be spoken of. It triggers a natural revulsion because of the ick factor of two men sodomizing each other. The tweet led to her being fired as a writer for "conservative" outlets like The Federalist and Daily Wire. The pompous little weasel Ben Shapiro fell over himself virtue signaling about how noble it was to fold up like a card table in the face of the globohomo mob. She then made the mistake of deleting her tweet and apologizing.

Never, ever apologize to the globohomo cultural Marxists. Ever. Sci-fi writer Jon Del Arroz takes the right to task for eating another one of their own.

Another Right Wing Scalp Is Claimed…

…by the right.

Why do we eat our own?

You may not have heard of DC McAllister before. but she’s a writer who’s done a ton of work for The Federalist and The Daily Wire as a staff writer. She’s been doing it for a long, long time, the type of person who’s consistent, putting out really good writing work. The kind of person you’d want at your writing outfit. She’s not a celebrity, not all over the news all the time for her shock-jock style antics or with long legs at the end of the desk in a short skirt. She’s just a good writer.

And it doesn’t matter, cuz the right is not about merit as much as they like to squawk like they are.

Our establishment only cares about optics, and what the left thinks of them. It’s the most idiotic thing I’ve ever seen, and it’s why we consistently lose. Our leaders constantly apologize to the left for being, even when the base and even they probably don’t agree.

Punching right is a serious problem that undermines our efforts and it doesn't help that far too many "leaders" in "conservatism", people like Ben Shapiro and David French, are little cucks that only care about protecting their gravy trains and don't give a crap about the real people.

In general if the Left is applauding something you do or say, you are wrong and should do or say the opposite immediately and never, ever apologize to people that hate you and want you dead.

Colorado becomes the latest state to start pushing for an end around of due process called "Red Flag Laws". These laws allow the government to raid your home and take your guns by force based on the flimsiest of evidence and then requires the gun-owner to prove that they should be given their guns back. But there is some good news in the story....

Colorado passes bill to seize guns from people deemed threat to self, others

Under the legislation, a family member or law enforcement officer could petition a judge to seize firearms from a person they think is a threat to themselves or others. The judge could then hold a hearing without the targeted person being present and grant a temporary order for 14 days.

After the two-week order, both the petitioner and the gun owner could then try to persuade a judge why the firearms should or should not be returned.

About 50 of the state’s 62 elected sheriffs oppose the measure, according to Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams, who told Reuters he would not enforce the law because it could put his deputies at risk if they raid a home without prior notice.

So 80% of sheriffs said they oppose the measure and rightly so. The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution says, in part:

No person shall be....deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law....

You don't get to just take someone's stuff without due process and it is a travesty to assume that taking someone's property, often by an early morning raid on a home with no warning, constitutes due process. At 5 AM if someone tries to raid my house and take my guns there is going to be trouble. Sheriffs know this and so do the people that push for these laws.

Tucker Carlson is pretty much the only sane voice anywhere in major media, which makes me suspect sometimes that this is all just a shtick. But maybe not so I give him the benefit of the doubt. He is one of the few to call out Ilhan Omar, the repugnant refugee that scolds the nation that gave her shelter, not because she is "antisemitic" but because she is such an ungrateful wretch:

Tucker Carlson: Ilhan Omar ‘Repays Her Adopted Country’ by Attacking It as ‘Hateful and Racist’

“Ilhan Omar’s country collapsed as a child. She lived for years in Kenya in that refugee camp. She may have died there without outside help. But help came, from where? From here, America. And this country didn’t just welcome Ilhan Omar to America, we paid to relocate her family and many others from a foreign continent purely for the sake of being good people, for altruism. Because no country in history has been as generous as we are. To places we have no ties to and no obligation to, we have been kind anyway because that’s who we are. Despite her humble and foreign birth, Omar has been elected to our national law-making body. And good for her. So how does she repay her adopted country, the one that may literally have saved her life? She attacks it as hateful and racist, and for that she is applauded by the Democratic Party because they view this country as hateful and racist too.”

He added, “Maybe our immigration system should prioritize people who actually like this country and are grateful to be here. Why wouldn’t we do that?”

Wow, what a novel idea! Watch Tucker's whole video. The idea that Ilhan Omar had it better among blacks, the same blacks she and her family fled from, to live in relative luxury in a nation full of white people, is ridiculous. You know it is ridiculous because she doesn't go home. Nor do all of her fellow Somalians. People don't flee from the U.S. and go to Somalia. People from shithole countries all around the world all want the same thing: to leave their own countries full of people like themselves to come to countries full of people like me. I don't want them here and we don't need them here but a little gratitude would seem to be in order.
